PDDG Design Notes – September 2024

As summer slowly fades and we ease into fall, we're thrilled to share what we’ve been up to this past month. Our team has been hard at work, crafting projects that blend creativity, strategy, and a dash of pumpkin spice (no lattes were harmed in the making).

From eye-catching designs to marketing campaigns that pack a punch, we’ve been pulling out all the stops to help our clients leaf an impression (wink, wink, get it?).

HIGHER EDUCATION

EducationUSA is a U.S. Department of State network of over 430 international student advising centers in more than 175 countries and territories. The EducationUSA Global Guide is an annual publication containing regional chapters presenting detailed information on current recruitment trends, country highlights, and government scholarships, all written by experts on the ground.

Our creative team recently completed the design development of the 2024 EducationUSA Global Guide, marking our fifth year partnering with the phenomenal EducationUSA team. We’re honored to be a small part of the team developing this important publication.

ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT

The City of Kingman, a client partner of PDDG since 2021, enlisted our creative team to design and produce the 2024 Retail Prospectus, an abbreviated and updated version of the comprehensive Retail Prospectus first produced in 2022.

The Retail Prospectus provides a data-backed statement supporting the many benefits of a strong retail environment for new and expanding businesses. Our creative team worked closely with city staff to refine the content, update data visualizations, and produce the full document.

WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT

For nearly four years, we have served as the marketing agency of record for the Lake County Workforce Development Board (LCWDB) and have collaborated with the wonderful workforce development staff on a wide array of deliverables, including branding, creation of a Board-level website, production of outreach and education collateral, social media management, public relations, and more.

Over the past year, we have expanded our services to include communications support for the Job Center of Lake County, including the creation of a branding program and comprehensive Strategic Communication Plan.

Most recently, we supported the outreach and communications efforts of the Board’s inaugural Youth Symposium, the culmination of a year's worth of strategic efforts focused on building a better understanding of how best to reach and engage high school students and young adults of Lake County in career planning and employment experiences. The efforts leading up to the Symposium will continue and will have an immense impact on the youth of Lake County. We very much look forward to continuing our support of these efforts.

CA FWC 2024 Economic Summit

Building upon our growing economic development reach in California, we are excited to serve as a Knowledge Sponsor for the 2024 California Economic Summit for the first time. This event will be held October 8-10 in Sacramento.

Produced by CA FWD and their California Stewardship Network, the California Economic Summit is built upon the principle that regional approaches to economic problem-solving are critical to advancing the state’s strategy of building an inclusive and sustainable economy where all can prosper.

We’ll be exhibiting alongside nearly 40 other reputable organizations from throughout California. Stop by our booth to learn more about how we’re supporting the economic development marketing communications efforts of communities large and small.

AAE Fall Forum

PDDG is a proud member of the Arizona Association for Economic Development (AAED) and is thrilled to continue our support of the organization. We will be attending and exhibiting at the 2024 Fall Forum in Prescott, Arizona, from October 23-25.
