PDH POLICY UPDATE TO ASSIST OUR CERTIFIED PROFESSIONALS

EnviroCert International, Inc. (ECI) has conducted a series of surveys of our Certified Professionals, and one (1) of the leading issues revolved around the quality and economic impacts of Professional Development Hours (PDHs) / Continuing Education Units (CEUs).

As a Professional Certification, the need for professional development and continuing education is fundamental to best practices. However, there were two (2) comments that continued to be at the forefront; A) the PDHs/CEUs should be technically valid, proficient, and competent thereby providing an appropriate learning experience; and B) the escalating costs of PDHs/CEUs. ECI agrees with these comments, and therefore, ECI is initiating the following policy:

Any groups, organizations, or conferences that desire to be added to this list can send a letter with pertinent information for ECI to review and provide an approval.  

ECI will not accept PDHs from groups or organizations not on the above approved list. ECI will be compiling a webpage that provides approved providers. Please note, PDHs topics must be relevant/applicable to the individual’s certification(s) to count towards the annual PDH requirement.
