Product development activity is inherent to many corporate entrepreneurial processes. This talk will focus on describing two distinct domains of corporate entrepreneurship research where product development activities are core phenomena. These domains are entrepreneurial orientation research and internal corporate venturing research. Conceptual and definitional matters regarding these domains will be reviewed, followed by a presentation of key learnings from research in these domains.

On October 31, PDMA Pittsburgh is hosting an engaging panel discussion: Product Development and the Digital Thread... Are We Ready for Industry 4.0? during the Digital Bridge 2019, Pittsburgh's Industry 4.0 Conference .

Expert panelists from Penn State, Carnegie Mellon University, Siemens, Arconic, and AW Miller/Miller 3D will share their expertise on Industry 4.0 and will discuss how they are applying Industry 4.0 technologies and methods.

During this intriguing discussion, attendees will learn about Industry 4.0 and the various elements that it encompasses such as data analytics, big data, digital twin/digital thread, automation, robotics, sensor technology, IoT/IIoT, artificial intelligence/machine-learning, cyber security, and more.
