PDMA is Pleased to Announce the 2019 Crawford Fellow
From left to right: Christer Karlsson, Tom Hustad
It is with great enthusiasm Product Development and Management Association (PDMA) announces the appointment of Professor Christer Karlsson, PhD, Academic Director, Professor, PhD, Copenhagen Business School, a Crawford Fellow. Professor Karlsson has been appointed a Crawford Fellow, based on both his contributions to the academic and professional growth of the fields of innovation and new product development outside of North America, with a resulting impact on the growth of the PDMA in those regions.

He created an annual innovation conference, organized through the European Institute for the Advancement of Studies of Management, that recently celebrated its 26th meeting. This annual Conference, held in various European universities, draws between 175 and 275 academic attendees every year. The Journal of Product Innovation Management has been associated with the conference from the its beginning, publishing selected papers from the first meeting and then becoming the "official" journal of the conference from the second meeting onward. This conference has been a major engine driving PDMA's and JPIM's early visibility throughout Europe and was a driving force behind the creation of PDMA chapters in several European countries.

PDMA Vice Chair Visits HQ
We were happy to have PDMA Vice Chair Ernie Harris with us in late June for an active three days consisting of 16 different meetings and events. Many of the meetings were with staff to plan  around key initiatives. The timing of the trip was good, in that we attended a meeting of the Minnesota Chapter at Ecolab; this was a fantastic event thanks to the Chapter and our hosts who gave us an interesting tour and intriguing presentations on innovation at Ecolab detailing the journey of a couple of their major products and how they rose to some big challenges!
