The award selection process provides an excellent mechanism for identifying companies that create and capture long-term value through product and service innovation. Companies around the world are eligible for this global award. Nominate your own company or one you admire. If you nominate another company, please be sure to let them know they are being nominated and provide a contact for the company.

  1. 5 years of sustained success launching new products or services.
  2. Significant company growth from new products or services.

Session Description:
An innovator's journey often begins with optimism weighed down by the realization that making a decision is the heaviest object carried in the pack. And while there may be a roadmap to a desired outcome, like most journeys, you'll experience pitfalls and miracles along the way. What Cory Christensen of Corteva Agriscience learned from his innovation trek is how to build a disruptive innovation competency within an established, multi-national business with history spanning a century.

This presentation covers the following topics...
  • The importance of setting up a disciplined and accountable structure that is separate but intimately linked to the core business
  • The challenge of building trust and credibility
  • The challenge of focusing on critical assumptions
  • The challenge of developing reliable information
  • The challenge of building the right portfolio
... And concludes with how meeting these four core challenges in a structured environment sets you up for winning at innovation.

From PDMA Headquarters
PDMA has been very fortunate in continued interest from members in wanting to get more involved in PDMA and taking on volunteer leadership positions with various committees. Currently we are seeking some more volunteers for the Webinar Committee. This is an exciting committee that chooses the topics and speakers for the PDMA webinar series. You will get to interact with other leaders on the committee and with leaders in the profession who are considered and chosen to present a webinar event.

Want to join others leading the profession via thought leadership on the Webinar Committee or other PDMA leadership opportunities? Visit our volunteer landing page . Opportunities for involvement are detailed there and there is a brief interest form to indicate interest. Why do it? Volunteering will help you stay on the leading edge of the profession and be more current by working alongside other passionate product people. You will develop deeper collegial relationships that can be quite valuable in the course of your career. You might also have some fun!
