The Art & Practice of Planning: Keeping up with Treatments
In part three of The Art & Practice of Planning Class Series to Set You Up to Reduce Stress, we are going to talk with movement disorder specialist, Ramon Rodriguez, MD about how to know when medications are no longer working, how to track changes in a manner that is helpful to the physician, how to have meaning conversations with your physician and where you can go to get more information to help you better understand the treatments and treatment plan.

How Can Speech Therapy Help with Thinking Changes in Parkinson's
Speech-Language Pathologists are an integral part of the cognitive care team for Parkinson’s disease. They are involved with testing cognitive skills and developing memory aides. This presentation discusses different types of treatment, frequently asked questions, and what to expect from speech-language treatment.

ENLITE PD: Evaluating a Novel Light Therapy Intervention to East Non-Motor Symptoms of Parkinson's Disease

Northwestern University is currently looking for people with Parkinson’s Disease with sleep problems for a research study. The National Institutes of Health (NIH) is supporting the study.

The purpose of the research study is to learn if Light Therapy reduces sleep problems associated with Parkinson’s Disease and improves quality of life. As part of this study, we will use a number of assessments and questionnaires to determine if Light Therapy improves sleep problems in individuals with Parkinson’s Disease. 

We are seeking participants who have been diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease and have sleep problems. Participants must also be at least 45 years of age. The trial is being conducted at 25 sites nationwide.

This study is actively enrolling participants.
