BECOME A MEBER OF THE PARKSIDE EMPLOYEE ALUMNI GROUP!
The Parkside Employee Alumni Group is looking for three new members to join the committee. If you're interested in joining, feel free to nominate yourself, or recommend a fellow Parkside employee you think would be perfect for the team.
PEAG SUPPORTS STUDENT SUCCESS IN 2020
On February 25, 2020, PEAG hosted their 17th Annual Chili & Soup Cook-Off. This was the only event held this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The event raised $229 to support student scholarships.

On March, 5, UW-Parkside hosted its second Parkside Day.

The event raised a whopping $143,923 for student scholarships.

PEAG participated in this fundraising event by hosting therapy puppies in the library and a photo booth. The dogs were a big hit with students and staff alike, and the #PEAG hashtag was utilized across social media.

While PEAG will be unable to host a new Chili & Soup Cook-Off in the spring of 2021, the group remains dedicated to raising money for student scholarships and is currently brainstorming additional means of fundraising. With the Wyllie renovation, a future event would need to be sustainable without electricity. When we get back on campus and can host something new, keep an eye out for a possible Bake-Off!

Thank you for the time and energy you give through PEAG to raise funds for student scholarships.

DISTINGUISHED ALUMNI AWARD NOMINATIONS NOW OPEN!
The UW-Parkside Distinguished Alumni Awards celebrate and honor the rich legacy of learning and accomplishments of UW-Parkside alumni who exemplify the impact of a UW-Parkside education. Nominations are open and must be received by February 5, 2021 for 2021-22 consideration. The selected Distinguished Alumni Award recipients will be recognized throughout the 2021-22 academic year, with an award event in spring 2022.
RELAY FOR LIFE HOLDS VIRTUAL 2020 EVENT | PLANS IN-PERSON 2021
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Relay For Life held a virtual event in 2020, with the goal still to raise as much money as possible for the American Cancer Society. PEAG set a team goal of raising $500 for the virtual event and exceeded that goal with a total of $624.63.

The 2021 Relay is scheduled for August 6 at Parkside's outdoor track. If you'd like to join PEAG's fundraising efforts, consider joining the "UW-Parkside Real Amazing Rangers" fundraising team. Click here for a direct link to the team page.
KEEP AN EYE OUT FOR PEAG EVENTS TENTATIVELY SCHEDULED IN 2021!
The annual Time 'N Talent auction, PEAG's biggest fundraising event of the year, was canceled in 2020 and unfortunately won't be held in 2021, either.

With that said, PEAG is working on some new fundraising opportunities for the next calendar year. So far, ideas include a virtual happy hour, virtual therapy dogs, and a recipe exchange. Make sure to keep an eye out for future fundraising opportunities from PEAG to support Parkside students!
