The 39th Annual Cochecho Arts Festival begins in July.
The summer-long Festival showcases regionally recognized acts as well as top local Seacoast entertainers. The Chamber is proud to have taken the lead in promoting the arts and community events in Dover with the belief that everyone benefits from a vibrant, healthy community. All Cochecho Arts Festival events are free to attend and open to the public.

City of Dover Fireworks
Saturday, July 5, dusk (around 9:15pm)
The City of Dover will launch its annual fireworks display from Garrison Hill on Saturday, July 5, at dusk, around 9:15 p.m. The rain date is Sunday, July 6.
The best fireworks viewing will be places with a direct line of sight to Garrison Hill and Garrison Hill Tower. Some areas, such as Henry Law Park, have blocked sightlines. Before the fireworks, the 39th Army Band will play at Henry Law Park at the Rotary Arts Pavilion from 6 to 8 p.m.

Books & Bots Event with Ride the Robot

Join Dover High School and Dover Middle School's Books and Bots team for a demo of their FIRST Lego League robots as well as their FIRST Tech Challenge robot. The team will also have parts for scribble bots available to be built by children attending. Scribble bots are a comprehensive and easy way to get kids into more complex robotics. In this vibrant, hands-on program, you’ll dive into the bold world of public art—from mural history and design to making a statement that sticks. Participants will explore how art can spark change, tell stories, and bring people together. Then, the group will team up to create a one-of-a-kind mural. Dog and Cat Spay & Neuter Clinics

Pope Memorial Humane Society will be offering spay and neuter services for both cats and dogs. Additional services such as a brief vet exam and nail trim will be included with each package. Microchipping will also be available for an additional cost.

"Fashioning an Army" Gallery Talk

This talk will be given by John Cookson, collections manager and designer of the corresponding exhibition on view in the Woodman Museum's Thom Hindle Gallery. Topics covered will include a guide of technical terms, the co-evolution of men’s suits and military uniforms, and a look into everyday wear inspired by military clothing. Get tickets.

In partnership with the City of Dover Recreation Department, our goal is to have more crossover with existing city programs to make the market more widely accessible. Soft Plastic Collection
