Cochecho Arts Festival

Now in its 39th year, the Cochecho Aerts Festival showcases regionally recognized acts as well as top local Seacoast entertainers. This year the festival features a variety of new features to make the festival more fun and interactive. Play yard games while listening to the band, have a bite to eat, participate in our chuck-a-duck, meet the featured “Artist of the Week,” and much more!

 

The Chamber is proud to have taken the lead in promoting the arts and community events in Dover with the belief that everyone benefits from a vibrant, healthy community.

 

All Cochecho Arts Festival events are free to attend and open to the public.

Fire on the Mountain Grand Opening Celebration

Bubbles Extravaganza featuring Bubbles McGee

Come celebrate the finale of Summer Reading 2025. Bubbles McGee will be putting on an amazing interactive bubble show on the front lawn of The McConnell Center. The Library will have some celebratory treats, and a chance for you to get your final raffle tickets, and turn your reading logs in for summer reading. This is an all ages event, with a rain location of The City Hall Auditorium. Learn more.

The Creative Arts Showcase is part of the Cochecho Arts Festival. The Creative Arts Showcase is an opportunity for artists of all kinds of different varieties to showcase and sell their work. The Little Mermaid

The Rochester Opera presents The Little Mermaid, based on the Disney film of the same name. In a magical kingdom beneath the sea, the beautiful young mermaid, Ariel, longs to leave her ocean home to live in the world above. Get tickets.

National Night Out

The Dover Police Department will be participating in National Night Out. National Night Out is a time for community members to meet with police officers, discuss issues, learn what the police do, and unite with the common goal of crime prevention and safety. The public will be able to take tours of the station and see a variety of displays around the building including some of the specialized equipment and vehicles that the police use. Learn more.

Teddy Bear Clinic

Friday, August 8, 9-11am


Kids and their favorite stuffed friends are invited to join the Children’s Museum of New Hampshire for our annual Teddy Bear Clinic, a fun event that helps educate kids about what happens at the doctor’s office. Each child’s stuffed animal is checked in and given an ID bracelet; then children take their animals to meet with a volunteer doctor or nurse for a check-up. If needed, animals can be taken to the surgical table for stitches, band-aids, and ribbons. Learn more.

Round Island Regatta

The non-profit Gundalow Company is happy to present the 15th Annual Round Island Regatta. Launching from Peirce Island in the south end of Portsmouth, NH, the friendly race is open to paddlers, rowers, and sailors. Farmer's Market

Seacoast Eat Local is excited to announce our new location in a large parking lot behind Dover Ice Arena. In partnership with the City of Dover Recreation Department, our goal is to have more crossover with existing city programs to make the market more widely accessible. Enjoy a swim at the neighboring Jenny Thompson Outdoor Pool and stop by the farmers’ market on your way home from this convenient location, which is right on the COAST bus stop. Learn more.

Soft Plastic Collection



Great Bay Services is collecting soft plastic to earn a Trex Bench for their grounds. They currently have 69 days to collect 553 more pounds. Soft plastics can be dropped off at the Greater Dover Chamber of Commerce at 550 Central Avenue, Dover. Learn more about Great Bay Services.
