PEEK at the Week: June 18
PEEK into the PAST: Pictured is the cover page of a Greater Dover Chamber of Commerce Section from Foster's which was published on June 5, 1990. Inside the 20-page insert is an abundance of information regarding the current and future state of the Chamber at the time.

Some of the highlights from the insert are a promotion for the fifth annual Apple Harvest Day, an article highlighting the Chamber office's renovation across the street from City Hall, and a two-page Cocheco Arts Festival summer calendar featuring entertainers Tommy Makem and Susie Burke.

Also highlighted is the notion of Barrington businesses joining the Dover Chamber during that time: "Nearly two dozen Barrington businesses have joined the Greater Dover Chamber of Commerce to form the Barrington Business Department....Instantly, this gave Barrington members of the Dover Chamber access to the resources needed to promote business activity."

For more historical content, check out the Chamber's Instagram and Facebook . Peek into the Past is a special section running in PEEK this year to signify the 100th anniversary of the Chamber.
