Prime Minister announces further support to help Canadians in need

  • An additional $350M has been added to the Emergency Community Support program to assist national organizations to serve vulnerable populations. The funding will flow through national organizations to local chapters of organizations delivering food and drugs, providing transportation, manning help lines, and supporting volunteers.

Canadian Emergency Wage Subsidy

The federal government has created a  benefit calculator  on the Canada Revenue Agency website to allow business to estimate how much the maximum $847/week/employee they can access via the Canada Emergency Wage Subsidy. Applications for the wage subsidy, available to businesses, non-profits and charities calculator, will open on Monday, April 27.
