“Daimler Electric Truck Technology – Decarbonizing the Fleet”

Program Abstract: The presentation will cover development and capabilities of Daimler NA electric trucks that are currently in use as well as expected future developments.
Speaker: Dr. Andreas Juretzka – Electric Mobility Group Product Owner, Daimler Trucks North America
Bio: Dr. Andreas Juretzka is the Electric Mobility Group Product Owner for Daimler Trucks North America. Andreas is responsible for product development, business strategy and infrastructure role out of DTNA’s commercial electric vehicle program. Upon entering this role in October of 2017, Andreas is responsible for a team of highly motivated and innovative thinkers, called the Electric Mobility Group (EMG).
He spent the past 20 years working with combustion engines and handled everything from thermodynamics to engineering mechanics. In his previous role, Andreas served as Director, Engineering Mechatronics Powertrain, responsible for development and launch of the HDEP/MDEG transmission and clutch.
Andreas received his Doctorate in Thermodynamics from Karlsruhe Institute for Technology. In addition, he holds 12 patents and has earned the DaimlerChrysler AG research award.
