Where students are seen and valued and become their best selves as racially conscious, globally minded contributors to society.

Greetings Peter Hobart Families,

The frigid cold temperatures haven't stopped us from continuing to learn and grow here at Peter Hobart! Thank you for the flexibility with the 2 hour late start on Tuesday, and for staying dedicated to supporting your students education. Wednesday was School Bus Driver Appreciation Day, so thank you especially to our transportation staff for continuing to keep our students safe on their way to and from school. There are many more fun events on the horizon and warmer temperatures to go along with them.

Thank you for being a part of the Peter Hobart community!

Elders Wisdom Children’s Song

Talent Development, Music and our 4th Grade Students are honored to bring to you their 2025 Elders Wisdom Children’s Song (EWCS) performance, honoring the following Elders:

Sra. Rosaura Aparicio (Honored by Ms. Jones’ class)

Mr. Peter Hamer (Honored by Ms. Wetzel's class)

Ms. Fatura Mohamed (Honored by Mr. T’s class)

Through storytelling, song and spoken work, EWCS incorporates the tools of community organizing, education, and celebration. At the heart, is an educational process called collective songwriting. EWCS combines collections of oral history, or oral literature, with the teaching of songwriting and poetry. Inspired by the life story of the elder, a song or spoken word piece is written and performed by the class, for the community.

Peter Hobart’s performance will be Wednesday, March 12th, 6:30 PM at the St. Louis Park Middle School Performing Arts Theatre. Please mark your calendars and save the date for this amazing performance. ~ Renee Robinson, 3-5 Talent Development Specialist
