Greetings Peter Hobart Families, 

This week was a week of celebration at Peter Hobart. On Wednesday, we welcomed our Peter Hobart alumni back for the Senior Walk, as your current students congratulated them on completing High School. Then that same evening, our amazing 5th graders presented their Exhibition projects and received their IB certificates for the completion of all the great work they've done throughout their time at Peter Hobart. One more week of fun lies ahead of us, let's make it great!

End-of-Year Medication Notice

Student medications, with the exception of controlled substances, will be sent home during the last week of school. Health Services will package medications and supplies and send them home in student backpacks, unless alternative arrangements are made with the health office. Once the medication is received at home, please remove it from your child’s backpack and store it safely.

• Infrequently used medications will be sent home during the final five days of school, following any scheduled off-campus activities.
• Frequently used medications, EpiPens, and inhalers, will be sent home on the last day of school.
• Controlled substances (such as methylphenidate, Ritalin, Adderall, diazepam, etc.) will not be sent home with students. These medications must be picked up in person by a parent or guardian. If you are unable to do so, please contact the health office to make alternative arrangements.

• you would like to make alternative arrangements for medication pickup

Cart Art in the Park Contest



Through the new Cart Art in the Park contest, members of the St. Louis Park community are able to submit original artwork that reflects the theme of organics recycling to be displayed on organics carts at multifamily drop-sites. Residents living in apartments, townhomes and condos can use these carts to dispose of their food scraps instead of throwing them in the trash. Food scraps are then composted, and the resulting compost can be used to create nutrient-rich soil for gardening and landscaping.

The winning artwork will be displayed as a two-dimensional, 11-inch by 17-inch decal on organics carts at the 11 multifamily organics drop-sites located throughout the city for a minimum of one year.

Your art could inspire more residents to sign up for city organics programs and divert their food scraps from the garbage!
