Hello Peter Hobart Community,
We had a wonderful preview of 5th grade Exhibition on Wednesday! We're looking forward to tonight's celebration of learning and hoping to see all of you there. Our students are excited to share their brilliance.
The Exhibition is the cumulating event in the journey through an International Baccalaureate (IB) Elementary Education. Our mission as an IB School is to develop knowledgeable, inquiring, and caring young people who strive to make the world a better more just and more peaceful place.
All are welcomed to attend!
June is LGBTQ Pride Month This provides an excellent time to talk about LGBTQ people and their struggles to achieve equity and justice in all aspects of their lives. As with other similarly themed months, it is important not to isolate the exploration of LGBTQ people and culture into one month during the year. LGBTQ history is U.S. history and should be honored throughout the year.

These instruments include: Flute, Clarinet, Alto Saxophone, Trumpet, Trombone, Euphonium, and Percussion. In 5th grade, students have the opportunity to learn these instruments in band class.

Transportation Changes for 2022-2023 School Year
|
|
As a part of districtwide budget reductions, St. Louis Park Public Schools will be making several changes to student transportation for the 2022-23 school year. Transportation is a vital part of the day for many of our students and families. Reductions in transportation and other non-classroom areas will allow the district to reduce the impact of reductions on classrooms and programs. The transportation changes will result in budget savings of $325,000.
In the coming days, the district will begin to communicate with families who are impacted by these transportation changes. A summary of the changes is included below:
- Expanded no bus zones for students residing in St. Louis Park, including the establishment of a no bus zone for Park Spanish Immersion Elementary School.
- Condensed bus stops for secondary students.
- Expanded no bus zones for students who open enroll from Minneapolis.
- New elementary school boundaries for Minneapolis students.
- High school students and families will be asked to opt-in for transportation.
