With more information than ever before, we know you’ll find the

answers to most of your questions on our website.

Dear Member, Stakeholder, Supporter,

We would like to introduce you to our two newest PFC Board Members, Clem Murdock and Ryan Taylor.

Clem currently coaches with the Competitive U16 Boys and has a long history of soccer development, coach education, and business acumen to support the clubs growth. Ryan is a soccer parent with a son in our Competitive program and brings a strong marketing background to the Board. We are excited to welcome both to their new roles as PFC Board Members and know their presence in and around the soccer fields and Soccer Centre will be an added touch point with our membership.

Ed Whitehead returned for a second term as PFC Club President and provided a detailed picture of the challenges we have overcome in 2022 but noted a significant change in our fortunes is just around the corner; growing all areas of our program delivery (Recreational, Competitive, High Performance and Camps) through 2022 and now preparing to be back at home on our own turf field in the next month.

Recognition was also given to Immediate Past President Corrado Roccasalva for his tireless work in supporting staff on the facility rebuild and maintaining the relationship with the City of Pickering staff. The dome build was not a new experience for Corrado who was integral to the original build in 2014 and remains a project very close to his heart. Having the chance to have Corrado work with our contractors and City staff as we improved on the original dome was a no-brainer, and we know his attention to detail will help bring the new soccer dome to the highest possible standard.

The Club also made significant changes in our compliance with the Ontario Not For Profit Corporations Act (ONCA). Provincial legislation requires us to significantly adjust our by-laws in order to be compliant. Special thanks go to Club Secretary Roz Lavoie for spending countless hours bringing our by-laws up to speed and in fact, we are now 12 months ahead of the ONCA compliance deadline date. These new by-laws were approved at Wednesdays AGM.
