After School Enrichment: Calling all Coders!

The Stillmeadow PFO is working with Hoop Girls, Chess Wizards, Coding with Kids, Jill Lostaglio Yoga, and the Clay Art Center to offer after school programs at Stillmeadow this winter.

  • We are in urgent need of more Coders on Tuesday afternoons! Coding with Kids is postponed until we reach minimum requirements.

General PFO Meeting:  Tuesday, January 23 @ 8:15 am.
Presentation: Understanding Your Child's Reading Assessments and How to Support Reading at Home

Please join us for the next General PFO Meeting when Mrs. Grant will present important information about mid-year reading progress reports that will be mailed to parents in early February.

Come learn how to interpret the information provided in these progress reports and how you can support reading at home. 

Mrs. Grant will also provide information about apps and websites that parents can use to help choose "just right" books for their children.

Eighth Annual Pennies for Patients!

This week is the start of Stillmeadow's eighth year participating in the Pennies for Patients campaign. 

Over the past seven years we have collected more than $17,000 for The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. 

Students have been sent home with collection boxes. Fill it up with any loose change from home. Every penny, nickel, dime, quarter or dollar donated will help save a life.

Students should bring their boxes into their classrooms.  Collections boxes are due THIS FRIDAY, January 26th . Visit our online website here to share with friends and family!

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is the world's largest voluntary health organization dedicated to funding blood cancer research and providing education and patient services. It provides a variety of programs and services in support of its mission: Cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.

Stillmeadow Family Day at the Stamford Symphony
The Stamford Symphony has provided the Stillmeadow PFO with discounted tickets to an upcoming performance. Stillmeadow students, staff and their families are encouraged to purchase these tickets, which are being offered for a fraction of the full retail value. This is a wonderful opportunity to enjoy beautiful, live music with your family and friends while supporting our school community. 

When: Sunday, February 25

Where: Palace Theater  (61 Atlantic Street, Stamford)

Price:  $8 per ticket 


  • 2:00 pm – MusicKids: Interactive music education program for children to learn about the afternoon’s program and meet one of the symphony musicians.

  • 3:00 pm – Symphony performance featuring the music of Brahms, Copland, Popper, Haydn, Lockington, and Saint-Saëns.

Complete this form and return it with payment by Wednesday, February 14.

There's no reason to wait; all yearbook sales will be by pre-order only. 

Order deadline is April 16. Yearbooks arrive in June.

Yearbooks cost $20 each. Orders online at (credit card only) or complete and return the form in student home folders.

Jump Rope for Heart is the Week of February 5th

Are your kids asking about the new keychains on display on their friends' backpacks? Ms/ Paolino has been delivering them to students who have raised money for Jump Rope for Heart, and you have another 2 weeks to raise funds and win your own keychain pals!

Students will participate in Jump Rope for Heart as part of their PE classes during the week of  February 5. Learn more here and in Spanish here .

Funds raised during this fun and educational event support the American Heart Association and help to purchase PE Equipment for Stillmeadow.
