Mum Pick up Wednesday
Mum orders will be available for pickup in the courtyard on Wednesday from 12:30 to 3:00 pm. Please sign in at the main office before proceeding to the courtyard. If you cannot make this time window, please arrange with another parent to pick up your order.
Mums that are not picked up on Wednesday afternoon will be left in the courtyard. Any mums left in the courtyard after Friday will be considered a donation to the school.
Forgot to place an order? We will have a limited number of mums available for sale (first come, first served).

After School Enrichment Classes Begin This Week
Note: Wednesday Classes Begin October 3rd
|
Registration confirmation notices with detailed class schedules were emailed to families last week.
You must inform your child's teacher in writing of the days your child will be staying after school for an enrichment class.
Dismissal from enrichment classes is at 3:50 pm outside the assigned classroom (see chart at right). Doors will open at 3:45 pm to allow you to be there on time.
Students MUST be signed out by a parent or other approved individual.
Rossco students will be taken to their aftercare location by Mrs. Roata (our on site coordinator) and signed out to Rossco staff.

Mixed Bag Designs Fundraiser Ends Friday!
You have one more week to return your Mixed Bag Orders!
On Thursday night, Stamford's Legislative and Rules Committee approved a new ordinance to ban plastic grocery bags and impose a 10 cent charge for paper bags as an incentive for people to carry reusable bags... lucky for you, we are selling durable, stylish bags you can throw in the trunk, or even your purse, for every shopping trip!
Mixed Bag Designs' Fall Catalog includes holiday and teacher gift ideas, as well as kitchen essentials, eco-friendly totes, and edible treats. Students earn prizes based on the number of items sold.
Order forms with payment are due by Friday, September 28.

Open House Kickstart Fundraiser Generates More Than $1,800!
Thank you to everyone who made a direct donation to Stillmeadow through the Open House Kickstart Fundraiser.
Thanks to your generosity, we raised more than $1,800 to help fund enrichment activities and supplies for our school.
Mrs. Asaro chose the winning ticket for the Stillmeadow VIP Parent Parking Spot. Congratulations to Susan Suh for winning the spot!

Family Portrait Day - Booking is now Open!
The Stillmeadow PFO has teamed up with
Kim Jaeckel Family Photography
to offer Stillmeadow families a convenient and economical way to get professional family photos just in time for the holiday season.
Here's what you need to know:
- Booking is now open! Click here to book your session
- 15-minute family photos sessions are available from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm on Saturday, October 13th.
- Photo sessions will take place at Fort Stamford Park on Westover Road.
- The session fee is $40, payable online by credit card, or by sending a check (payable to Stillmeadow PFO) to school after you register.
- The entire session fee will be donated to Stillmeadow!
- Proofs will be available via an online portal approximately seven days after your photo shoot.
- Prints, digital downloads, and photo gifts starting as low as $10 may be ordered directly from Kim Jaeckel Family Photography.
- We need volunteers to help sign in families - please sign up here for a 75 min shift!

Here's what you need to know:
- This annual event is a great way to stock up on new books to read at home with your child. Many titles are $5.99 or less.
- Students will visit the Book Fair with their classmates during school hours. Click here for a tentative schedule. Your child's teacher will send home more information about the classroom visit.
- Parents and other family members can shop the Book Fair during school hours or during Reading Under the Stars (Tuesday, October 2nd, 6:00 - 7:00 pm).

- Can't make it to the Book Fair? Shop the Scholastic Book Fair online from September 26 - October 9. When you shop online, orders ship FREE to the school.

Reading Under the Stars is a FREE event. Advance registration required.

Help Stillmeadow Win $500 at the MarcUS for Change 5K
Join us for the
MarcUS for Change 5K Walk and Run
on Sunday, September 30 at 9:00 am in Mill River Park. This family fun run/walk benefits the Stamford Public Education Foundation (SPEF).
Come help us defend our 2017 Spirit Award, given to the Stamford Public School with the most participants. The winning school gets $500!

(September 26) Volunteers are needed to help unload mums and and assist families during order pick up on Wednesday, September 26.
Scholastic Book Fair
(October 2-5) The Scholastic Book Fair is coming to Stillmeadow and we need volunteers to set up and staff this event, including Tuesday night at Reading Under the Stars.
Family Photo Days
(October 13) Volunteers are needed to assist families arriving for their photo session.

Help us plan/execute this very popular costume party! We are looking parents to help with set up/clean up, sign in, and running games and crafts. Volunteers work in shifts, so you can enjoy the party too!
