In the first half of 2021, PFSCM continued to meet our client service promises despite the ongoing COVID-related challenges around the globe. Across all clients and projects, PFSCM delivered 994 shipments of health products valued at more than $194 million to 79 developing countries.
Further, since our last update in April 2021, we celebrated World Malaria Day showcasing our impact through this animation, and we reflected on one year of delivering COVID-19 diagnostics to low and middle-income countries.
In addition, we collaborated with one of our newest 3PL partners to tackle a complex temperature controlled delivery and re-palletization activity in Uganda, and shared our experience in executing a continuous improvement project aimed at improving data quality, accuracy and timeliness within in our organization.
Meanwhile, we also celebrated the launch of the second phase of the New Horizons Collaborative. For the second phase PFSCM, in collaboration with its parent company JSI Research & Training Institute Inc., and its affiliates InSupply in East Africa, and JSI Zambia, will provide supply chain support in the form of monitoring and evaluation to a select group of New Horizons countries in sub-Saharan Africa.
Next week, on August 3, we will also join our friends from The Clinton Health Access Initiative, Development4Health, Imperial Logistics and One Network for a discussion on expediting and expanding the distribution of humanitarian aid and disaster relief through a Global Digitized Health Community.
