Election by Acclamation

We would like to update you regarding the PGA WEST Residential Association, Inc. Board of Directors election process. As you know, all homeowners had the opportunity to submit a nomination application and biography for consideration, and the deadline for the 2025 Board of Directors’ election nomination submission was January 29, 2025. 

Initially, the slate of candidates for the 2025 Board of Directors included four candidates for three open seats. However, Michael Sandstrom, Director, recently sold his home and has resigned from the Board. As a result, one of the candidates, Peter Guilioni, has been appointed to serve the remainder of Michael Sandstrom’s term.

With this change, we now have three candidates for three open seats. Given this situation, the election will be conducted by acclamation. This means there will be no need for a paper ballot election process this year, which will save the Association between $6,500 and $7,000 in associated costs.

The Board Candidate Meet and Greet, will remain scheduled for Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at 4:00 PM. The three board candidates, Jim Young, Jay Agoado, and Robert Shipley, as well as newly appointed Director, Peter Guilioni, will be present to answer questions, and share their vision for the Association.   

The 2025 Annual Members’ Meeting will still take place on Thursday, April 24, 2025, at 9:00 AM. Immediately following the Annual Members’ Meeting there will a Board of Directors’ Meeting.  Jim Young, Jay Agoado, and Robert Shipley will be officially elected by acclamation at the Board meeting, and Officer positions will be appointed by majority vote of the Board.
