SIGN UP NOW FOR EDUCATION SERIES EVENT IN KOOTENAYS
The final event of the 2019 PGA of BC Education Series presented by Foresight Sports Canada is set for the end of this month at Fairmont Hot Springs Resort, featuring two great presentations from area Head Professionals.

The April 29 gathering will include a talk from 2018 PGA of BC Dick Munn Golf Professional of the Year Cindy Soukoroff (St. Eugene Golf Resort & Casino) on the theme of "Making Every Moment Matter" for patrons at your club, and another from Scott McClain (Copper Point Golf Club) discussing the rewards for golf facilities in giving back to their communities.

This year's event will once again coincide with the season's first stop on the Kootenay Pro Tour, with the education schedule beginning at 10 a.m. and tournament play commencing at 1 p.m. The cost for members to attend the Education Series event is just $19 and includes lunch following the morning's presentations.

REGISTER FOR RBC CANADIAN OPEN REGIONAL QUALIFIER
Golf Canada will once again host a regional qualifier in British Columbia for this year's RBC Canadian Open, and interested players have just a couple of weeks left to register.

The BC regional qualifier will be held May 6 at Kings Links by the Sea. The deadline to register is May 3.

Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis, open to professionals and amateurs with a handicap factor of 2.0 or lower.

OFFICE CLOSURE NOTICE
Please be advised that the PGA of BC administration office will be open on a reduced schedule this week and next in observance of the holiday weekend.

The office will be closed on Good Friday through Easter Monday (April 19-22). Regular office hours will resume at 8 a.m. PT on April 23. The next edition of E-News will be issued on Thursday, April 25.

The PGA of BC wishes all a safe and happy holiday weekend.
CONGRATULATIONS
For the second consecutive week, the G&G Tour saw its winner make an 18th-hole eagle for a one-stroke victory over the field.

Brad Clapp (Cultus Lake Golf Club, pictured) made a three on the par-5 closing hole Monday at Quilchena Golf & Country Club to finish off a 4-under round of 69, taking home the win and pocketing $500.

Luke Bogdan (Ledgeview Golf Club) and Philip Jonas (Philip Jonas Golf Academy) shared runner-up honours Monday, both carding a 70 and collecting $425 apiece.
