FACT OF THE WEEK
Earlier this week, the PGA of Canada announced that the Candidate for Membership category will undergo a name change in the near future. New members to the Association will instead be considered Apprentice Professionals.

As per the announcement from the national office, "the name Apprentice Professional was better suited for those hard-working professionals breaking into the industry. The new name is also akin to other industries, which feature young, up-and-coming professionals making his or her way into a profession."

The category name change will become official when ratified at the PGA of Canada Annual General Meeting in May next year.
