2022 PGA OF BC BUYING SHOW -
ACCOMMODATION BLOCK TO BE RELEASED SOON
With the PGA of BC Buying Show set to make its return October 12-13 at the Richmond Olympic Oval in Richmond, BC, the Association would like to remind exhibitors and attendees that room blocks allocated for this event will be released in the coming weeks.

Host Hotels include preferred PGA of BC accommodation partner, Accent Inns Vancouver Airport, as well as the River Rock Casino Resort. Both properties are located in Richmond and approximately 5 minutes from the Richmond Olympic Oval where the Show will take place.

Allocated rooms will be on a first-come, first-served basis and subject to availability. As such, booking early is strongly recommended. For full details including booking codes and important dates, please visit the event page by clicking below.
KOOTENAY PRO TOUR WRAPS UP REGULAR SEASON AT BOOTLEG GAP
The Kootenay Pro Tour hosted its final event on their regular season schedule on Monday at Bootleg Gap Golf Course in Kimberley, BC.

Congratulations to The Springs at Radium's Bradley Gagnon, who posted an impressive 2-under par 70 en route to a 5-stroke victory over a field consisting of 22 players. For his efforts, the first year Apprentice Professional takes home $820 for his largest pay day as a member of the PGA of BC.

In a four-way tie at 3-over par 75 were Cindy Soukoroff (St. Eugene Golf Resort & Casino), Dan Bourgeois (Purcell Golf), Dennis Bradley (Copper Point Golf Club), and Jeremy Johnson. Each Professional earns $280 as runners-up.

The Kootenay Pro Tour will host their season-ending Tour Championship on September 12-13, hosted jointly at Purcell Golf (Kimberley Golf Club) and Wildstone Golf Course in Cranbrook, BC.

Congratulations to Highland Pacific Golf's Callum Ashby and wife Diana Burlacu, who tied the knot at The Beach House at Cordova Bay on Friday August 5th.

The newlyweds celebrated their special day with perfect weather surrounded by many friends and family.

The PGA of BC wishes the happy couple the best as they begin the next chapter of their journey together.

Seeing people enjoying the game hitting one pure shot or simply laughing as they enjoy the game

What is your most cherished golf memory?
Watching my son's first hole-in-one and most recently, watching he and two of my juniors enjoy the PGA of BC Pro-Junior Championship together.

If you had to share one piece of advice with a new member of our Association, what would it be?
Still teach etiquette to our younger generation and respect all of what golf and its governing bodies have done for us.

FACT OF THE WEEK
PGA of BC members are reminded that the payment deadline for annual membership dues is set for November 1st of each year.

Invoices for 2023 Membership dues will be issued by the PGA of Canada in the coming days and once again, payment plans will be available for all members.

All members whose dues have not been received in full by Nov. 1, or who have not set up a payment plan in advance, will be subject to late-payment fees. Those who have not completed payment by Jan. 1 will be placed in the suspended category and will be subject to a reinstatement fee and completion of background check.
 
Those unsure of their plans for 2023 are reminded that a full refund of dues can be obtained if resigning from the Association by April 1, while pro-rated refunds are available between April 2 and June 30. Any late-payment fees are non-refundable. Please watch for full details in your inbox.
