PGA of BC PROFESSIONAL SPOTLIGHT -- COLE MARSHALL
Head Professional, Mountain View Golf Club

Why did you become a PGA of Canada Professional?
I got into golf a little later than most (13yrs old) but took to the game really quickly. I would help with younger kids camps in my teens and found it to be incredibly fulfilling. Also just loved being in and around the course.

What is the most rewarding part about being a member of the PGA of BC?
That smile you get out of someone you’re working with when something finally clicks. That gratification in their eyes. Also getting to work with kids and watching them grow up and get better.

At which golf facility did you first begin working within the industry, and who was the PGA Professional?
Yellowknife Golf Club at the tender age of 13. The PGA professional was Trevor Maywood.

What is an interesting fact about yourself that doesn't involve golf?
I’m a level 3 certified basketball coach and have a French bulldog named Maverick (big Top Gun fan).
