THREE TOP-FIVE FINISHES FROM PGA of BC MEMBERS AT HPC
Three PGA of BC members finished among the top five and 10 placed inside the top 30 when the PGA Head Professional Championship of Canada presented by Callaway Golf wrapped up last week at Arizona's Wigwam Resort.

Leading the way was Philip Jonas (Philip Jonas Golf Academy), who earned runner-up honours after finishing at 14-under-par over the event's 54 holes. Jonas finished seven shots back of winner Gordon Burns from Ontario and took home $5,500.

Matthew Palsenbarg (The Tour LAB @ Northview) turned in a third-place finish at 10-under, which was worth a $4,000 payday, while Mark Kitts (Shadow Ridge Golf Club) placed fifth overall at 8-under. Kitts also captured the tournament's Club Pro division by two strokes, with the $500 bonus for taking that title bringing his individual earnings at the event to $2,710.

Kyle German (Bald Eagle Golf Club) and Dave Zibrik (Point Grey Golf & Country Club) both finished T7, while Lindsay Bernakevitch (Victoria Golf Club) carded the low final round of the tournament, a 6-under 66 that helped him to a T11 result. Brad Clapp (Cultus Lake Golf Club) and defending champ Brian McDonald (Fairview Mountain Golf Club) also finished inside the top 20.
