PGA of BC PARTNER SPOTLIGHT
SUNDOG DISTRIBUTING
Sundog Distributing has been in business for over 36 years, with 20 of those years delivering genuine performance eyewear made by golfers for golfers. Its focus is delivering great technology, design and innovation for a reasonable price. The brand has been associated with PGA players including legendary golfers Mike Weir and Paula Creamer. Sundog is most proud of its association with amateur golf and the Canadian PGA professionals’ network.

Sundog continues to introduce new innovations with a focus on performance while maximizing comfort. Its de-centered lenses and optimal lens tints provide optical clarity that enhances the golfer’s ability to play and read greens. Sundog's latest innovation is its TrueBlue lenses that absorb blue light (not blocking or reflecting) which helps eliminate motion blur, delivering a calming effect to the golfer.

Sundogs make golfers look great on and off the course. Sundog is the market leader in Canada. After 20 years, it is still the largest supplier of mid-priced eyewear to the Canadian golf industry and can be found in more than 600 pro shops. Retailers can take advantage of Sundog's booking special, which includes free freight and 50 free custom ball markers with the purchase of select prepacks of Sundog Eyewear, Black Clover and CMC Design. Sundog Distributing is a Bronze-level Preferred Partner of the Association and presenting sponsor of the PGA of BC's Junior Golf Leader of the Year Award. Click below to learn more.
THREE MEMBERS AMONG TOP FIVE AT HEAD PROFESSIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP
Thirteen PGA of BC Professionals survived the 36-hole cut at the PGA Head Professional Championship of Canada presented by Callaway Golf, and several are poised for strong finishes when the event wraps up Thursday at The Wigwam Resort in Arizona.

That includes Philip Jonas (Philip Jonas Golf Academy, pictured) who posted back-to-back 67s to sit alone in second place at 10-under-par. Jonas will need another solid round Thursday to take the title, as he is seven shots back of leader Gordon Burns of Ontario. Matthew Palsenbarg (The Tour LAB @ Northview) is tied for third at 7-under, while reigning PGA of BC Club Professional Champion Mark Kitts (Shadow Ridge Golf Club) is also in the top five at 6-under.

Kitts, meanwhile, holds a one-stroke lead over three players in the tournament's Club Professional division. A $500 bonus will be awarded to the tournament's low-scoring Head or Executive Professional.

Kyle German (Bald Eagle Golf Club) holds a share of 11th at 3-under, while defending champion Brian McDonald (Fairview Mountain Golf Club) is in a group tied for 16th at 1-under that also includes Dave Zibrik (Point Grey Golf & Country Club) and Jeremy Johnson (Fairmont Hot Springs Resort).

The tournament's Inter-Zone competition concluded Wednesday, with the BC team of Jonas, Kitts, Lindsay Bernakevitch (Victoria Golf Club) and Padraic O'Rourke (The Fairmont Chateau Whistler Golf Club) placing second at 15-under, trailing the winners from Ontario by 11 shots. Each team member collects a $250 bonus for the result.
