PGA of BC PROFESSIONAL SPOTLIGHT -- COURTNEY CAMPBELL-LEVECK
Head Professional, Gleneagles Golf Course

PGA of Canada member since: 2006

At which golf facility did you first begin working within the industry, and who was the PGA Professional?
I first started as an assistant professional at Grandview Golf Club / Mark O'Meara Course which was operated by Clublink in Huntsville, ON. I worked for my mentor and friend Simon Bevan

What is a common misconception that golfers make about what your job entails?
That we play professionally on TV. I find that most public views are unaware that our industry provides employment in their community and opportunities to explore different career paths from turf, business, food & beverage, management and coaching.

If you had to share one piece of advice with a new member of our Association, what would it be?
I would find a mentor to learn from and to be able to ask questions to at any time. Someone who reflects your core values and demonstrates growth and self-awareness

Which significant accomplishments are you most proud of?
Recently, being awarded Golf Professional of the Year in 2021 for the Lower Mainland Region. I'm also very proud of my Class A status and becoming a Head Professional.
