Founded in 2014, SuperSpeed Golf created the first widely accepted golf training system focused solely on speed. Before SuperSpeed, most players had a regular fitness routine and swing mechanics program. Now, these players also dedicate a significant amount of time specifically to speed training on a regular basis. This has brought excitement back to working on the game and hope to many players for whom distance was a limiting factor in getting joy from playing golf.

Since inception, SuperSpeed Golf has been dedicated to detailed research and development of all training products and training programs. From 3D kinematic analysis, cutting edge Force Plate data, and most recently even specific on course performance results. SuperSpeed has made knowing exactly how their training system will affect a golfer a cornerstone of their philosophy.

SuperSpeed Golf has also spent a great deal of time and effort in educating both golf professionals and the average golfer about the benefits of speed training. Members of the SuperSpeed team have been regularly featured as speakers at PGA of Canada events. Their dedication to not only creating the most effective speed training tools on the market, but also helping PGA Professionals find creative ways to integrate these training programs into their curriculums has truly set SuperSpeed apart.

After the successful relaunch of the Career Advisory Program earlier this year, the PGA of BC Administration Team will be conducting a second wave of assignments for mentors and new member mentees. Prospective mentees who have completed the intake survey but have not yet been matched with a mentor can expect an introduction email early next week.

The Career Advisory Program was created to offer new members of the PGA of BC the opportunity to connect with an established member of the Association to provide as-needed mentorship as they become accustomed to their new career path. So far, more than 20 PGA of BC Professionals have signed up to be mentors, with half already working with mentees by way of the CAP initiative. If you joined the Association between 2020 and 2022 and wish to be a part of the program, please complete the following intake survey found HERE

Did you know that research services are available to golf facilities through the BC Golf House Society and Canadian Golf Hall of Fame? If your club is nearing a significant anniversary or milestone, these institutions are excellent resources to learn what historical info, photos or documents may be available within the archives specific to your facility.

Hall of Fame officials recommend starting the process of planning for anniversary celebrations years in advance, to form a committee to spearhead these efforts and to rely on club members as a key source of materials.

Contact Mike Riste at the BC Golf Museum at [email protected] for information or ideas on how to acknowledge your club's history, or visit the BC Golf House Society website for more info on how the museum has preserved the histories of golf courses throughout the province.
