FACILITY REGISTRATION NOW OPEN FOR CANUCKS JUNIOR GOLF WEEK
Now entering its sixth year, Canucks Junior Golf Week presented by Odlum Brown Limited will return July 2-9 and registration is now open for PGA of BC facilities interested in hosting the program in 2019.

This program has been one of the PGA of BC's most effective grow-the-game initiatives, introducing nearly 3,500 youth to our sport since its inception in 2014. Last year, Canucks Junior Golf Week once again realized record participation with more than 800 girls and boys participating in one of 44 camps held across the province.

PGA of BC administration staff handle the majority of program details, including registration, promotion and marketing, tee gifts, provision of equipment (if needed), payment for instructors and more. PGA of BC members can earn two (2) PDP points for each session in which they serve as an instructor.

New for 2019, facilities that have demonstrated high demand in past years will be permitted to host a third session during the week.

Facility registration will close on Monday, April 1 at 12 p.m. PT. Click below for full details on the program, benefits for participating members and facilities, and to register your location to host Canucks Junior Golf Week this summer.

Registration for youth participants will open in late April, but interested parents can pre-register now at www.pgabc.org/golfweek to receive notification of when the sign-up window is open.

BOARD SEEKS INTEREST IN VOLUNTEERS FOR PGA of BC COMMITTEES

Those considering serving on a committee are asked to contact Executive Director Donald Miyazaki at [email protected] to indicate their interest.

CONGRATULATIONS
The first event of 2019 counting toward the PGA of BC Order of Merit is in the books after Monday's G&G Tour opener held at Marine Drive Golf Club.

Philip Jonas (Philip Jonas Golf Academy, pictured) appeared to be in mid-season form, posting a bogey-free 64 to win the event that matched the lowest round on tour since 2014. His 7-under-par total was worth $500, as he cruised to a three-stroke victory.

Jonnie Motomochi (Morgan Creek Golf Course), in his G&G Tour debut, and Bryn Parry (Point Grey Golf & Country Club) both carded a 67 to share second place and take home $400 apiece. Click below for full results.
