TOURNAMENT OF CHAMPIONS HEADS TO GALLAGHER'S CANYON NEXT WEEK
The 2023 PGA of BC Tournament of Champions presented by PING Canada is set to take place Monday, May 29 at the gorgeous Gallagher's Canyon Golf Club in Kelowna.

The sun-soaked valley course will serve as host to 40 teams made up of a Club Professional and a current club champion or other designated amateur from their facility, competing in an 18-hole Best Ball format. Gallagher's Canyon will be welcoming the TOC for the second time and first since 2004.

Point Grey Golf & Country Club's Dave Zibrik and Jeff Dagg are seeking their third straight TOC title. The duo won their first championship at Mayfair Lakes Golf & Country Club in 2021, and followed it up with a victory at Nanaimo Golf Club last year. Despite neither of the pair having much experience at Gallagher's Canyon, they said they're feeling confident and relaxed.

Teams tee off in a shotgun start at 8 a.m. PT. For more information, please contact Membership & Events Manager Doug Titterington at doug@pgabc.org.

FACT OF THE WEEK
Establishing a foundation for junior golfers to thrive is paramount to ensuring sustained success in the industry. Many of the top junior golfers today will go on to become the tour players and club professionals of tomorrow. PGA of BC professionals play a valuable role in developing the province’s junior golfers and preparing them for the rigors of competition, while helping them become mature, well-rounded young adults.

Are you coaching a junior golfer whose growth and development has blown you away? Are you coaching a junior golfer who recently achieved a big goal, such as winning a tournament or earning a golf scholarship? Let us know, and we can spotlight their accomplishments on our Instagram. Please send a short written profile under 100 words about the golfer and a high-resolution photo to Communications & Marketing Manager Graham Abraham at graham@pgabc.org.
