The PGA of BC's competition season is officially at a close with the last two regional tours completing their respective Tour Championships this week.
Luke Bogdan
(Ledgeview Golf Club, pictured) captured the Lower Mainland's G&G Tour Championship, posting the low round on both days of the event held Monday at The Vancouver Golf Club and Wednesday at Kings Links by the Sea. Bogdan's back-to-back 68s left him with an 8-under-par total and a three-stroke victory. He picked up $425 for the win. A two-way tie for second place saw
Bryn Parry
(Seymour Creek Golf Centre) and
Jonnie Motomochi
(Morgan Creek Golf Course) finishing at 5-under and taking home $375 each.
Philip Jonas
(Philip Jonas Golf Academy) topped the tour's 2019 Order of Merit, with Parry ranking second and Bogdan finishing third.
In the Interior PGA Tour's Championship held Monday at The Harvest Golf Club,
Lionel Taylor
(Gallagher's Canyon Golf & Country Club) rose to the top of a tight leaderboard to take the victory. Taylor carded a 3-under-par 69 to earn the one-stroke win and collect $650. Runner-up honours were shared at 2-under by
Finlay Young
(The Harvest Golf Club) and
Cody Bell
(Sunset Ranch Golf & Country Club), who pocketed $425 apiece.
The tour's season-long Order of Merit wrapped up with Young in first place, followed by
Ethan Danish
(Two Eagles Golf Course & Academy) in second and Bell in third.
