VIRTUAL PGA of BC BUYING SHOW A SUCCESS; PROVIDE YOUR FEEDBACK
With 55 participating exhibitors and scores of PGA of BC members on hand to represent facilities across the province, the Association's first-ever virtual Buying Show closed on Oct. 15 to strong reviews.

The PGA of BC administration team thanks all who joined us for the two-day event as an attendee or exhibitor for their participation and their willingness to adapt to the online format given current public-health circumstances.

All members -- including those who did not participate in the Buying Show this year -- are asked to complete a feedback survey regarding the event. The administration team gives significant consideration to all responses in working to enhance the Buying Show experience from year-to-year, so your input will be extremely valuable as we plan for the 2021 event.

A limited number of questions regarding this year's Awards Celebration are included, so we encourage all who viewed the awards broadcast to provide their thoughts as well.

Click below to access the Buying Show feedback survey.

The Association also extends its appreciation to our guest speakers on the Foresight Sports Canada Buying Show Education Stage, including Lindsay Benard and Kristy White of Dale Carnegie Training of BC, as well as PGA of Canada Professionals Nick Starchuk, Gareth Raflewski and Jason Giesbrecht.
REMINDER: PGA of CANADA MEMBERSHIP DUES DEADLINE

Please note that dues invoices are no longer issued by regular mail and are now available online via each member's PGA of Canada profile.

Those who have not paid or set up a payment plan by Nov. 1 will be subject to a $125 late-fee penalty that is due Dec. 31 alongside any remaining balance. If payment is not received by Jan. 1, the member will be moved to the suspended category and will be subject to an additional reinstatement fee of $450 plus tax and a police-record check.

For those yet to pay or make payment-plan arrangements, the six-month payment-plan option is still available to members but must be set up no later than Oct. 24.

GOLFATHON FOR ALS SURPASSES $2 MILLION RAISED OVER 15 YEARS
The Golfathon for ALS raised more than $200,000 this year in support of patients and families affected by the disease, helping the program to surpass a significant milestone in its cumulative fundraising total.

ALS Society of BC Executive Director Wendy Toyer revealed the grand totals during the PGA of BC Awards Celebration broadcast last week, indicating that Association members and friends participating in the cause helped raise $200,210 in 2020. That brings the 15-year cumulative total just shy of $2.1 million. Toyer's presentation can be seen in the opening minutes of the archived Awards Celebration broadcast.

The PGA of BC thanks all who participated in the Golfathon for ALS and those who donated to this worthy initiative. For more information on the Golfathon for ALS, please click below.

Members interested in having their facility participate in the 2021 Golfathon for ALS may contact Toyer at [email protected] for more details.
