PGA of BC PARTNER SPOTLIGHT
INDOCHINO
INDOCHINO was founded on the belief that you don't need to spend a fortune on a custom wardrobe. By taking the premium made-to-measure experience direct to the consumer, INDOCHINO created a superior alternative to off-the-rack clothing, at ready-to-wear prices. This approach has enabled INDOCHINO to become a world leader in made-to measure suits.

Customers step into the shoes of a designer to create custom suits, shirts, chinos, blazers and overcoats. They select from hundreds of fabrics and endless personalization options, including lapels, pockets, buttons, linings and monograms. These garments are then made to their precise measurements and shipped directly to their door within three weeks for a great fit, hassle free.

With now more than 50 showrooms across North America, INDOCHINO’s immersive multi-channel experience enables customers to order their custom garments with ease online or in-person. The company is headquartered in Vancouver, with offices in Dalian, China, and employs over 600 people globally.

PGA of BC members are eligible for special pricing on INDOCHINO suits, shirts and more. Learn more about this offer on the PGA of BC’s Member Benefits & Corporate Discounts page (website login required).

With more than 75 exhibitors and another strong turnout of attendees -- more than 150 golf facilities and retailers were represented -- the Buying Show continued its trend of year-to-year growth.

However, the Association is always looking to improve upon the event each year, and your feedback is crucial to enhancing the Buying Show and Awards Celebration experience. To help with this, all members are asked to complete a short survey to share their thoughts on the events.

Click below to access our member survey on the Buying Show and Awards Celebration. Please note that your feedback is helpful even if you did not attend either event. Each survey respondent will receive a set of questions applicable to their attendance or non-attendance at the Buying Show and Awards Celebration. The administration team thanks you for sharing your insights on these gatherings.
GOLFATHON FOR ALS RAISES NEARLY $200K IN 2019
ALS Society of BC Executive Director Wendy Toyer revealed that the 2019 Golfathon for ALS was another big success during last week's PGA of BC Awards Celebration.

Toyer announced that $194,290 was raised through the initiative this year, bringing the 14-year cumulative total of funds raised to support ALS patients and their families to almost $1.9 million.

PGA of BC Professionals will look to push that total beyond $2 million when the Golfathon for ALS returns for a 15th consecutive year in 2020. Members interested in hosting a Golfathon for ALS at their facility next season can contact Toyer at [email protected] for more information on how to get involved. PGA of CANADA DUES PAYMENT DEADLINE: NOVEMBER 1st
Members are reminded that PGA of Canada 2020 dues must be paid by Nov. 1 in order to avoid late fees, and that those making on-time payments can be entered into a draw for a Masters Prize Package.

A late fee of $125 per month will apply to any payments made after Nov. 1 but before the end of the calendar year. Those who have not paid their dues by Jan. 1, 2020, will have their membership suspended and be subject to a $450 reinstatement fee, plus tax.

Members who pay by Nov. 1 by cash, cheque or online banking will receive a $17.50 discount on their dues and be entered into the draw for the Masters Prize Package, which includes two one-day tickets to the 2020 Masters Tournament and a $1,000 prepaid card for travel. Dues can also be paid by credit card at pgaofcanada.com , but members using that method will not be eligible for the discount or receive a contest entry.

Please note that dues invoices are no longer issued by regular mail; please log into your PGA of Canada profile online to access yours.

As per Association bylaws, members are permitted to obtain a full refund of dues if resigning their membership by April 1, 2020. For that reason, members who remain uncertain regarding their status in the industry for the coming year are encouraged to pay their dues on time while determining their 2020 employment.

Please direct any questions you may have about dues payments to Darcy Kral, PGA of Canada Managing Director of Membership & Support Services, at [email protected] .
GOOD LUCK
The Association wishes the best of luck to PGA of BC Professional Christine Wong (Langara College) and the rest of the five-member team representing Canada this week at the inaugural Women's PGA Cup.

The 54-hole event, being played Thursday through Saturday on the Fazio Foothills Course at OMNI Barton Creek Resort & Spa in Austin, Tex., features other teams representing the PGAs of America, Sweden, Australia and Great Britain & Ireland. Each nation's team will count its best three scores from each round, with the low aggregate team total at the end of Saturday's play earning the title. Wong earned her place on the team thanks to a second-place finish in the Club Professional division of this year's DCM PGA Women's Championship of Canada.
