With a little more than one month left to settle the 2020 Professional Development Program (PDP) Order of Merit presented by Sunice & Bobby Jones, a two-horse race has broken out at Talking Rock Golf Course.
Executive Professional Adam Blair and Head Professional Nathan Grieve now sit first and second in the rankings, respectively. Blair, who has accumulated 92 points for the season, is looking to become the first Professional to top the PDP Order of Merit twice, having ranked first during the 2016 campaign. Grieve has been a mainstay in the top three throughout the 2020 season and sits just three back of Blair with 89 points.
Lee J.H. Lee (GolfTEC Richmond) has now slipped to third place with 74 points. He is joined in the top five by Matthew Steinbach (Simon Fraser University, 70 points) and Padraic O'Rourke (The Fairmont Chateau Whistler Golf Club, 65 points).
Please note that all points resulting from participation in the PGA of BC Buying Show and its Education Stage sessions, as well as the 2020 PGA of BC Awards Program, have now been added to the rankings. This will be the final update to the rankings before our final totals, as well as the Top 100 Golf Professionals of 2020, are revealed in January.
As of this update, 58 points is the cutoff for a top-10 ranking, while members holding at least 27 points are currently ranked inside the Top 100.
Members are reminded that all requisitions for PDP points to be considered for 2020 must be made by Nov. 30. Requisitions must be accompanied by supporting documents sent by email to pdp@pgabc.org, which also must be received no later than Nov. 30. Points earned for receipt of any national awards and participation in any regional tour events to be played before the end of November will be included in the final tabulation.
