PGA OF BC PARTNER SPOTLIGHT

TRIBAL

TRIBAL is much more than best-in-class women’s clothing. Its mission is to deliver on-trend collections that make you look and feel your best, for enjoying life’s adventures in comfort and style.

This spring marked 53 years as a Montreal-based women’s wear brand. What began as a women’s pants brand, TRIBAL has evolved into a fully merchandised lifestyle collection and fashionable golf and leisure line designed for on and off the course.

TRIBAL is stepping up its golf game with an expanded high-performance collection featuring a UPF50 fabric which is now available to order year round. This fashionable assortment offers sun protection, moisture-wicking and quick drying properties. Golf facilities looking to add TRIBAL’S Golf and Lifestyle collection to their shops are encouraged to contact Western Canada Account Executive Jennifer Skala at jskala@tribal-inc.com for more details.

REMINDER: PGA OF CANADA DUES TO BE PAID BY NOVEMBER 1

All information via the PGA of Canada:

Several PGA of Canada members have taken advantage of the flexible payment options the association implemented in 2020 to assist members with their dues payments. We are happy to continue offering this option to members.

Pay your membership dues in full or select from one of the recurring instalment plans listed below when you access your annual invoice.

You can choose the 1st, the 15th or 25th of the month as the automatic charge date.

National dues have remained steady over the course of the past four years, but have been indexed this year to support the continued provisioning of programs and services. Depending on your zone, you will notice a slight increase.

The deadline to set up a payment plan is October 20, 2023.

Our membership team put together a video to demonstrate how to register and take advantage of the payment plan. The video can be seen here.

Click here to see your Membership Invoice (log-in required).

There has been an option added to allow members to donate to the PGA of Canada Foundation Benevolent Fund with their dues payment. We will provide a tax receipt for any donation over $20.

We have also added an option to set up a recurring monthly donation of any amount. For more information and to set up a recurring donation, click here.

The Benevolent Fund provides temporary assistance to past and present PGA of Canada members and apprentice members who find themselves in financial hardship.

The Fund provides the basics of life such as clothing, food and shelter, as well as financial assistance for health care services attributable to a mental or physical health condition, to those in need.

For more information please visit our Q&A page.

Pay your membership dues in full by November 1, 2023 via cash, cheque or online banking, OR choose the 3-month payment plan option and be automatically entered into a draw to win one of three PGA of Canada gift cards (1 x $1,000, 2 x $750), which can be used toward any PGA of Canada or Zone service, including education and professional development, tournament entry fees or even future membership dues.

Pay by cash, cheque or online banking by November 1, 2023 to receive a discount of $17.50 (plus tax) on your annual membership. *not applicable to Life Professionals*

REGIONAL TOUR ROUNDUP

The Lower Mainland G&G Tour travelled to Morgan Creek Golf Course and The Vancouver Golf Club on October 17 & 18 for the G&G Tour Championship. With scores of five-under par, Jacob Vanderpas (Point Grey Golf & Country Club) and Kevin Stinson (Cheam Mountain Golf Course) tied for the victory. Both competitors overcame a three-stroke deficit after Round One, showing calm under pressure. In second place, five professionals tied at two-under par: Nigel Sinnott (Cheam Mountain Golf Course), Steven Lecuyer (Seymour Creek Golf Centre), Clark MacPherson (Point Grey Golf & Country Club), Cory Renfrew (Modern Golf Vancouver) and John Shin (Northview Golf & Country Club).

The Vancouver Island Club Pro Tour held its Tour Championship on October 2 & 3, with Round One taking place at Royal Colwood Golf Club and Round Two at Gorge Vale Golf Club. Dylan Bell (Golf Town Victoria) earned the title of Tour Champion in a come-from-behind, one-stroke victory. Bell shot rounds of 71-70 to finish at one-under par. Tying in second place, Mark Valliere (Glacier Greens Golf Club) and Eric Wang (Victoria Academy of Golf) were phenomenal, playing to even-par on the challenging tracks. Ben Griffin (Uplands Golf Club) finished a stroke behind the runners-up, ultimately placing fourth.

The Westland Insurance Interior PGA Tour took on Gallagher's Canyon Golf Club for the Tour Championship on October 2. The battle for the title was a hard-fought event, with Lionel Taylor (Talking Rock Golf Course), Austin Bosquet (Shuswap National) and Lucas Rachkowski (Harvest Golf Club) sharing the Championship title after all three put forth spectacular rounds to tie at even-par. One stroke back of the leaders, Keith Martin (Tower Ranch Golf & Country Club), Rob Anderson (Kelowna Golf & Country Club), Todd Tweedy (Nk"Mip Canyon Desert Golf Course) and Jesse Crowe (Overlander Golf & Events Centre) tied as runners-up.

The Kootenay Pro Tour held their Tour Championship on September 11 & 12 at The Springs at Radium and Copper Point Golf Club. Trevor Simkins (Bootleg Gap) made up a five-stroke deficit in Round Two to force a playoff with Nicklaus Kennedy (Granite Pointe Golf Club), which Simkins won to clinch the Championship. Dennis Bradley (Copper Point Golf Club) and Jeremy Johnson were one stroke back of the leaders, tying for third.

Make sure to read the Regional Tour Roundup every week to stay up-to-date with the achievements of our members and to never miss any information
