LEE, GRIEVE CONTINUE TO HOLD TOP SPOTS IN PDP ORDER OF MERIT
The latest update to the PGA of BC Professional Development Program Order of Merit presented by Sunice & Bobby Jones has seen some movement near the top of the leaderboard, but Lee J.H. Lee continues to top the standings.

Lee (GolfTEC Richmond) has now accumulated 62 points on the year, recently adding to his total by competing in last week's PGA of BC Championship. Nathan Grieve (Talking Rock Golf Course) has hung on to second place and narrowed the gap on Lee, moving up to 57 points thanks to participation in tournament play and the Golfathon for ALS.

Matthew Steinbach (Simon Fraser University) now occupies third place in the Order of Merit with 54 points. Greg Pool (Northview Golf & Country Club, 44 points) and Jeff Liddle (Talking Rock Golf Course, 41 points) round out the top five. Members have until the end of November to add to their 2020 point totals.

REGISTER NOW FOR PGA of BC WOMEN'S CHAMPIONSHIP
Female members are encouraged to register now for the 2020 PGA of BC Women's Championship presented by Dexim Golfwear, which will run Sept. 29-30 at Richmond Country Club.

Tee times for the 36-hole, stableford-scoring event will begin at 10:30 a.m. for Round 1 and 9 a.m. for Round 2. In the interest of public-health concerns, this year's tournament will not have a pro-am component included as part of the opening round.

Leila Harman (Morgan Creek Golf Course) and Ashley Zibrik (Shaughnessy Golf & Country Club) are among past champions of the event already registered to compete. The tournament has generated great momentum since returning as a standalone event in 2018 and we look forward to that trend continuing this autumn.

Registration will be available until Sept. 18 and the early registration rate will remain in effect for the entirety of this year's sign-up period. Click below for tournament details and a link to registration.
EXHIBITOR REGISTRATION REMINDER: PGA of BC BUYING SHOW
Exhibitors are reminded that registration is open for the 2020 PGA of BC Buying Show, which will be conducted in a virtual format on Oct. 14-15.

More than 25 exhibitors are already signed up to showcase their products and services at this year's show. Early registrants are now being provided with access to the administration of their virtual exhibitor booths -- sign up soon to ensure plenty of lead time to set up your booth accordingly.

Registration will be available until Sept. 30. The registration fee to establish a virtual booth is $250 (plus GST), which represents a savings of more than 80 per cent off the cost of a 10'x10' booth at a traditional, in-person Buying Show.

Click below for registration details and more Buying Show information, including a list of amenities and features for exhibitors at the virtual show, and a video tour of the platform that will be used during the event.

The PGA of BC Community Leadership Bursary is awarded to an individual or member facility within the Association demonstrating an extraordinary desire and passion to make a significant difference in the lives of those around them, and in doing so, sets an example of “giving back” that all PGA of BC members can be proud of. The 2019 recipient was Myles Johnson (Hillview Golf Course) to support his club's junior-golf programming and initiatives.

PAYMENT PLAN OPTIONS AVAILABLE FOR 2021 PGA of CANADA DUES
As a special accommodation for 2021 to support members affected by COVID-19, the PGA of Canada has established payment-plan options for membership dues.

By opting for one of the payment arrangements being offered for the upcoming year, members can pay their dues in monthly installments until as late as March 2021 without having their membership status impacted.

Members who have not yet signed up for a 2021 dues payment plan still have the option to enroll in a six- or seven-month payment structure. Equal monthly payments can be set up for a Visa, Mastercard or Visa Debit card. Members opting into a payment plan also have the option to make an initial down payment to reduce future monthly payments.
