Human Resources
What an exciting quarter we've had here at PGC! We welcomed a few new faces to the PGC family and have even begun to move our corporate operations into a new building!
This quarter we welcomed Brendan Musser, our new Field Engineer in the Plant Division, James Crippen, our new Mechanic, Sergio Sanchez, our new Assistant Superintendent, Sherice Grant, our new Accounts Payable Specialist, Larkin Sanford, our new Site Superintendent at Temple Data Center, and Angel Arango, our new Site Safety Representative. Watching the PGC family grow is very exciting and with the growth of team members we've begun to expand our work spaces.
The PGC corporate office is moving to Travis Plaza 912 S. Hwy 183, Suite 210 by September 1st. Many thanks to Scott McDougal for managing the renovations on the new offices, organizing the move, and creating a smooth transition for the entire staff.
Please be aware that there is a security system for entering the building. We ask you to please call ahead and let us know you are coming by in order to be let into the building.

Safety
The Safety Department has been focused on previous years' trends with July usually being a month with a high number of incidents. We are excited to announce that we have broken this trend! This July, we had only one at-fault incident. We would like to congratulate the entire team for your dedication to safety through continuous communication and collaboration with the Operations Team!
In other exciting news, the Safety Department is expanding by one! Angel Arango will be the Site Safety Representative for Temple Data Center. We are extremely excited to welcome Angel to our team.
We are also adding more state-of-the-art confined space entry equipment. With the addition of a davit arm system, our Plant Division will have just what it takes to get the job done safely and productively. We have also added two tripod systems and fall protection equipment.
With these additions to safety equipment and our team, we've reinforced that our commitment to safety is at the top of our list of priorities.

Operations
Over the past couple of months, the Operations Department has experienced a lot of excitement. Several projects are currently underway and are keeping everyone enthusiastic and focused on the future. Both Plant and Civil Divisions are up to the challenges and tasks to come.
This quarter has shown tremendous growth and perseverance by all our Civil team members. Jose Sanchez and Francisco Juan continue meeting and exceeding the customers' expectations of our current downtown Austin project. We have developed a Dirt crew that is tackling the pond at Little Walnut Creek, and Jason Snyder is driving the growth of this crew and division. We are “Digging Deep” at Temple Data Center, as Larkin Sanford and Team tackle this project. Determined and focused, we ambitiously welcome the opportunities that this is creating for us. We are fine tuning and streamlining crews to make them more efficient and leaner. Pushing to meet and exceed our goals and expectations.
In the last few months, on the Facilities side of things, we have been busy with taking care of multiple emergencies across central Texas, for multiple different customers, some old and some new, anywhere from small sewer lines to large water lines/valves. The Plant Division has some magnificent work ahead. We have a big water treatment plant rehab project that will be starting in late August, including a long force main and new lift station that must be installed at an accelerated pace. There is a new IDIQ that has multiple projects over the course of the contract. These can range from changing some small water lines to overhauling a small WWTP. PGC is looking forward to the future.

A lot has been accomplished by the equipment department at PGC over the past few months. The department has undergone several changes, including new hires, training, and field support this quarter. These amazing accomplishments are all made possible by PGC's connected culture.
A new Kenworth T370 2000 Gallon fuel/lube truck was prepared and set up by the shop team for Dustan Hale in June. This truck was prepared to support the crews and equipment from San Antonio to Temple, Texas. In the past three months, Dustan has pumped over 28,000 gallons of fuel and performed 15 preventative maintenance services on PGC equipment.
The first of June marked Trent Manning's first day as a member of Dispatch. As a result of William Sughrue and Lincoln Male's training and assistance, Trent has mastered the HCSS and Spectrum programs required for the role. Furthermore, he has completed a two-hour course on DOT Management to support the PGC team as well as improve vendor relationships for the benefit of everyone at the company.
Timothy Lyon (aka Timmy), our Field Support team, played an integral part in the victory of our equipment department WIG in 2022. We have consistently met our goals month after month, keeping our equipment available, operational, and looking its best, setting the industry standard. Timmy takes great pride in his work and respects the equipment as if it were his own. His dedication and hard work has kept our equipment at or above 95% availability with little to no downtime.
Maintaining a fleet of 45 pieces of heavy iron and growing is no easy task. PGC's equipment department has provided excellent support and has managed to keep jobs moving forward in a timely manner while remaining safe and productive. There isn't much that stands in our way when it comes to achieving our goals, from rebuilding Bar Screens for a wastewater treatment plant to maintaining one of the largest excavators Caterpillar makes!

Plant Division
What a productive quarter we've had in the Plant Division!
Hornsby Bend - Hornsby passed some major milestones recently as we close in the homestretch of this project. The electrical building slab was placed allowing for the erection of the building. The transfer pump station was topped out and is now preparing to have the pumps installed. Crews on the South side of the River installed our deepest structures and are now within 250ft of completing the South side pipe installation. It is all coming together for a Christmas finish!
Ullrich WTP PDSSI - Our new Plant Project at COA Ullrich WTP, which is Austin’s largest producing Water Treatment Plant, is officially underway! Work will begin on new parking and road improvements before we begin construction of a new electrical building in the coming months. This is an exciting project, as PGC will be working in many different areas of this 165 MGD plant to improve their treatment processes and operations.
SAWS Clouse WRC Headworks Rehab - Our team in San Antonio is doing PGC proud and building good relationships at one of San Antonio’s largest Wastewater Treatment Plants. They have completed all of the South Train demolition and complicated channel concrete placements and are now working on the grit equipment pads and preparing the grit chambers for the new grit equipment. This project is slated to be complete in Mid 2023.

IDIQ Plant Projects
SAR Filter Building - The corrosion mitigation Work Assignment has been successfully completed! The PGC team did an excellent job cleaning and mitigating severe corrosion to the Filter Control Panel cabinets, and received high praise from Austin Water and the 3rd Party inspector hired to oversee the process.
DESSAU WWTP Flow Diversion - The new Dessau Project, which consists of a Lift Station and over 8000 feet of forcemain, has finally kicked off. Over the next eight months, the PGC team will work at an incredibly rapid pace to complete this emergency project for Austin Water. This is an exciting project, as there is huge opportunity for success for the entire PGC family!
Large Facilities IDIQ Contract - PGC Plant Division has officially been awarded another new IDIQ Contract with Austin Water. This new contract will continue to strengthen PGC’s reputation with Austin Water’s facilities, and will contribute to the PGC Team’s successful growth. There will be some fantastic Work Assignments produced under this new contract!
Production Pipe Division
We had an exciting summer and enjoyed the opportunity to host two interns. A big thank you to Jacob, Grant, Lesly, and Katie for helping to guide, teach and mentor our project team interns. They were able to spend time in the field, participate in estimating exercises and experience the day to day of project management. We are looking forward to hosting additional interns in the Spring. In other exciting news, William Sughrue has moved to the Project Management team to assist, adding years of experience to their growing group.
Projects
With each day every job site is gaining momentum and nailing their goals. We appreciate the patience and perseverance of the crews and supervisors on site. There are a lot of trade partners to work around and PGC is doing a wonderful job of exceeding expectations in every area. PGC crews are consistently illustrating the corporate Core Philosophies!
We're proud of all the work everyone has done this Quarter and are excited to see what the next Quarter has in store for PGC!

Camille's Corner:
Work Zone Power
As the summer begins to wind down, we notice that many people are moving or are cleaning out their homes. A refresher on proper lifting techniques will ensure that you stay safe this August.
Assess the object you are lifting. If the object is heavy, enlist the help of someone who can assist you. As you get ready to lift the object, prepare your major muscle groups with light stretches and exercise. These exercises can be as simple as mini squats, lunge twists, static side bends, hamstring and quad stretches.
Once your muscles are warmed up, be sure to face your entire body towards the object you are lifting. Taking a wide stance, squat down, and take a firm grip of the object. Hug the object close to your body and lift to a standing position using the muscles in your legs.
Always ensure that you maintain body alignment during the entire process of lifting and lowering the object. When lowering the object, follow the same precautions you used to lift.
Remember to always, always practice safe lifting techniques and ask for help when lifting objects heavier than 50lbs.!

Quarterly Safety Spotlight
We would like to recognize Tia Brown, also known as Teddy, for receiving multiple prizes from the GC’s safety department at Temple Data Center.
Since Teddy started, she has shown exceptional dedication to safety. She looks out for all her team members and non-team members on site. Also, we want to give a shout out to all the crews that are buying into our observation program. We have many crews that have exceeded their goal every week.
