Greetings!
And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom. ~ Anaïs Nin
I am not sure how it's the end of May?! And if the past few weeks have left you feeling exhausted, like it's been five months in one, has taken Herculean effort to do the most basic of tasks, or issues you thought you'd dealt with resurfaced again with a vengeance, join the club.
Perhaps you're having to stretch yourself in ways that are uncomfortable but likely good for you; maybe you're feeling lonely, or you've had to let go of people, habits, jobs or things, or those that once interested you no longer do. Maybe your appetite or sleep has been disrupted. Perchance you're just having to take a leap of faith, need to trust in the unknown and figure it out as you go... You are not alone.
These are such big cycles we are collectively living through, and everyone is being affected in one way or another - whether they are sharing their stresses and challenges or not. It's easy to feel like you are the only one dealing with stuff, overwhelmed, frustrated and/or like there's something wrong with you. This is why I always like to share my experiences and observations, as I have a vantage point both in talking to many about their lives, as well as following the astrological weather and noticing themes or patterns in the zeitgeist.
One reason for all this intense energy and exhaustion is from planetary and astronomical activity. That is on top of the rare astrology, information overload moving though wireless technology, incessant scrolling, inflation, plus the race to understand, use and discern AI - not to mention the wars, disclosure of many a varied and sordid things, and well, among many other things, Knicks pandemonium.
These are all layers of influence that consciously and unconsciously affect our little minds and bodies that are overloaded in ways they were never meant to be. (Here is a reel that explains some of what I mean.) There is a lot to process and integrate - and filter out - which takes its toll.
And I don't think it's an accident we are experiencing a Blue Moon this May (today!) either, a phenomenon that only occurs every 2-3 years, when there are two full moons in the same month.
The good news is that with all these extreme or unusual situations there are exciting new possibilities and connections that abound and await us as well. It's a time of shifts, change and transformation - nothing is going to stay the same which is in many ways, what is needed. Think about what a pregnant woman goes through, especially as it gets closer to delivery... all the physical changes plus a mix of emotions, urges and impulses, unknowns and discomfort.
So give yourself a break, there is nothing wrong with you. We're all just in the birth canal trying to see what this next version of our lives will look like and stay sane in the process. But it ain't always fun! 'Cause growing pains can be just that, painful.
And it's gonna get even more messy, just like the caterpillar that has to disintegrate into goop before it reforms into the butterfly...it's not easy being goop! But as we, too, are an organic part of this planet, we are in a process we ultimately have no control over. It may not be your choice, but you better hang on and buckle up buttercup - and not take everything personally, while at the same time knowing that it is your personal evolution and individual upgrade.
The most important thing is to listen to your body, since it's innate wisdom knows what it needs at any given time. Be extra gentle and compassionate with yourself and others, as we are all in it.
