A Celebration of Life for Monty Sherrill, father of Steven Sherrill, will be held on Wednesday, July 30, at Roller-Owens Funeral Home, 5509 John F. Kennedy Blvd., North Little Rock. Visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will take place immediately afterward at Riverwood Memorial Gardens, 301 Carnahan Dr., Maumelle. Disciples Home Missions hosts Rev. Dr. Eunil David Cho

In this video, Dr. Eunil David Cho invites viewers to transform uncertainty from a hidden threat into a companion on the spiritual path. Through prayer, honest dialogue, and theological sensitivity, Dr. Cho offers a model of pastoral presence that’s as emotionally grounded as it is spiritually hopeful.

Dr. Cho reframes uncertainty not as a void to be filled, but as "a place where God may show up in new ways." Rather than suppressing doubt, he encourages acknowledging its presence as part of the spiritual journey.

Dr. Cho emphasizes the importance of being genuine in pastoral care—recognizing not just hope but also fear and anxiety when supporting others through their struggles.

Dr. Cho encourages caregivers to use both faith and emotional understanding in their work. Making room for people to be vulnerable helps provide better support.
