The Disciples Women mission for June will support PATH (Partners Against Trafficking Humans.) If you would like to support this mission, please make your monetary donation to Disciples Women by June 12 noting PATH on your gift. The next meeting will be June 12 at 10:00 a.m. in the Parlor and will include the installation of officers for the 2025-2026 year.

Mission Trip to Fayetteville

Ozark Mission Project

Tools are needed for the Youth Mission trip project. If you can loan or give them tools, please contact Sarah Clements at at sjclements@gmail.com, or bring them to the church office.

Items still needed are carpenter pencils, circular saw all purpose blade, 6" clamp, drill bit set corded or battery, rags, paint scraper, 25' or longer tape measure, trash bags, wasp spray.

Death, Dying and Bereavement

Dr. Jamie Eaddy and Dan Mosely

This video is a very engaging conversation of an often taboo topic. The speakers share personal experiences with death in their lives and how they have used those experiences to shape the way they minister in death.

Death is loss, a transitioning, a change. Not all of death is the loss of life. Divorce, job loss, children moving out of the house…. all of these changes signify loss and transition. Obviously physical death is the most significant of these changes and the one that is absolutely permanent. The grief (or bereavement) which is our natural response following any of these changes is real. Often, we struggle to know what to say and how to be of help to those grieving. Dr. Eaddy and Dan Mosely combine their personal experiences with their professional/pastoral experiences to give us some very practical advice.

I encourage all of you to experience this “talk” and take away some gems!
