Safety Security
Revitalization Fund Update
A big THANK YOU to the Putnam Health & Fitness Center members who have contributed to the Safety and Security Revitalization Fund. These contributions are helping us achieve our goal of improved safety and security for our members and the facility.

On an annual basis, about 74% of the Fitness Center income is derived from membership fees, 13% from grants, 5% from donations, and 8% from fundraising.

To continue our growth, we are counting on voluntary financial support from our members, individuals and businesses. The Revitalization Fund, event sponsorship (i.e. Putnam Classic and 5K Fun Run/Walk) as well as product and equipment donations (i.e. Smart TV, computers, printers) are critical to the Fitness Center's success each year.

If you wish to contribute materials or equipment to PHFC, call Rhonda Walsh 386-649-8784. If you wish to make a financial donation to the Safety/Security Revitalization Fund or a general donation to PHFC online, click here …

Remember, as a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization,
your donations to PHFC are tax deductible.
PHFC Community Outreach
While many privately-owned health clubs and fitness facilities tend to be self-centered, the Putnam Health & Fitness Center (PHFC) remains committed to the express purpose on which it was founded; enhancing the quality of life of everyone in southern Putnam County. Nowhere is that commitment more evident than PHFC’s Community Outreach programs.

Throughout the year, the Fitness Center hosts more than ten Community Outreach programs or events. Some of these are presented by PHFC, either by itself, or in cooperation with another organization. All programs offered by the Fitness Center have been determined by the Board to be consistent with its mission and open to the public. PHFC assumes the financial risk by covering all costs of marketing and staging the program or event.

Thank you PHFC members for enabling us to continue enhancing the quality of life of everyone in southern Putnam County. To see a listing of the Fitness Center’s Community Outreach, click here.

The 6 Worst New Year’s
Resolutions Nutritionists Hear
Nutrition experts are rarely keen on big, sweeping goals. For lasting results, the changes you make to your diet and overall lifestyle need to be small, specific, and measurable. That’s where New Year’s resolutions tend to fall short. They’re often general, lofty, or worst of all, misdirected.

To help you avoid setting yourself up for disappointment, we asked top dietitians to share real resolutions they’ve heard from clients that make them cringe—and what they’d recommend instead.
