Pen CS will be launching a new Favourites App on Topbar which aims to reduce time inefficiencies for doctors during their consultations by allowing one-click access to their most-used websites daily.

NEW MGT App Free Feature - 'Heart Health Check' Risk Assessment and 'My Healthy Heart Plan' templates - available soon
Heart Foundation's 'Heart Health Check' and 'My Healthy Heart Plan' templates will soon be available through MGT App on Topbar at no cost to the practice.

This will enable practices to easily perform MBS items 699 and 177, saving time for doctors and practice nurses on administrative work.

New Features of the MGT App Heart Health include:
  • Enhanced algorithm to improve CVD risk assessment
  • Automation of clinical data inputs
  • Streamlined document creation

National Palliative Care Week with Pen CS
The National Palliative Care Week with the theme “Palliative Care, It’s more than you think” will be held from 23rd to 29th May 2021.
National Palliative Care Week 2021 seeks to raise awareness of the benefits of quality palliative care. Pen CS wants to celebrate and acknowledge the amazing dedication of all those working and volunteering in palliative care across Australia. 

In collaboration with Murrumbidgee Primary Health Network, Pen CS has developed recipes to help general practices identify high risk patients who may benefit from the palliative care approach.

New Items:
  • COVID-19 Vaccine Suitability Assessment MBS items Count and Income Generated - Located under MBS Items -> COVID-19 Vaccinations.
  • Suppressed QIM/AIHW Export - Located under: Reports (button) --> QIM/AIHW Reports Suppression Rules Export.
  • Please be advised, this report is generated based on the old specifications provided by AIHW. Due to very recent updates to AIHW specifications, Pen CS is currently developing the new Suppression Rule report, and will be available with the next version of PAT CAT.
Improvements:
  • Virtual patient recalculation is now done in batches of 100,000 patients.
  • Percentage complete of virtual patient recalculation is available in UI.
  • Report recalculation is now done in batches of 100,000 patients for a given month.
  • Note: We have changed to batch calculation to mitigate data being written to and from the pagefile. Pagefile read/write occurs when there is not enough RAM/memory available to hold all the patient data/objects required for the calculation.
Bug Fixes:
  • Fixed a PIP QI Compliant status bug in ‘Imported Extract’ tab, where the PIP QI Compliant status reads 'Yes' but the submission was done by another practice.
CAT
  • Fixed mapping error for COVID-19 moderate risk and Influenza report affecting BP users.
  • Fixed issue with manual data de-identification.
  • Some minor improvements for participating CHIME-GP practices.
Topbar
  • This release includes fixed mapping error in the FLU app affecting BP users.
  • This release enables Topbar to verify if a user has administrator rights for Topbar as well as improving URL support for third party applications.
  • This patch release fixes a .net related issue with the Topbar installation on some systems.
