Affinity Gaming continues year-long $100,000 contribution pledge

' in partnership with the Alzheimer's Association Desert Southwest Chapter on Saturday, May 14. The event raised more than $25,000 towards local programs, services, treatments and preventions for Alzheimer's and dementias. Held at Mike Tyson's former Las Vegas Residence,

, the event featured
a selection of fine wines, delicious hors d'oeuvres, exciting silent auction items and special appearances by professional boxers Zab Judah, five-time lightweight and welterweight champion, and Kevin Kelley, former WBC featherweight title holder.
In March, Affinity Gaming kicked off its corporate citizenship commitment with the Alzheimer's Association, pledging to contribute at least $100,000 in 2016 across the regional chapters where its 11 casinos are operated in Southern and Northern Nevada, Colorado, Missouri and Iowa. Affinity Gaming CEO Michael Silberling presented Desert Southwest Chapter Southern Regional Director Albert Chavez with a $10,000 check towards that goal at 'Wine to Remember.'

Alex Prandecki emceed the event and
all proceeds benefited the Alzheimer's Association's mission, providing local programs and services as well as supporting latest efforts in Alzheimer's research.
