Principal's Message

Dear Paschal Families,

What a fantastic week it has been for Panther Nation!

Homecoming was a tremendous success and a lot of fun for everyone involved. Despite the rainy weather, Thursday night's football game was a great experience, and our students showed incredible spirit throughout the week. We were especially excited about the inaugural use of The Gus for Homecoming festivities. The event was well attended, and the decorations, bleachers, and open space created an amazing atmosphere. Students had plenty of room to dance, spend time with friends, and take lots of memorable photos.

Another exciting moment came Friday afternoon when we unveiled our new digital scoreboard. This impressive addition brings many new capabilities to our campus, and I am looking forward to seeing how our students learn to maximize all of its features in the months ahead.

Athletics and fine arts continue to make us proud. Our Cross Country teams swept the 5A District Meet and are advancing to the Area competition. Our Marching Band wowed audiences at its competition on Saturday and is also advancing to Area. Football continues to enjoy a strong season, and our volleyball teams are crushing it. As we barrel toward Halloween and November, basketball season is right around the corner, and we are excited for what promises to be another great winter season for Paschal athletics.

On the academic side, school is rolling right along. Progress reports will be available on Thursday, and the current six weeks grading period will conclude at the end of October. As always, we ask for your partnership in helping students stay on top of attendance, grades, and behavior.

Attendance remains critically important. Students must be present for 90% of the time a class is offered in order to earn fall semester credit. In the coming weeks, we will begin communicating attendance recovery needs to families. Please remember that the number of recovery hours required continues to increase with each absence. Consistent attendance is one of the strongest predictors of student success, and we appreciate your support in ensuring students are in class every day possible.

We are also looking forward to next weekend's performances of Emma, along with plenty of football and volleyball action. We hope you'll come out, support our students, and enjoy all the wonderful things happening across our campus.

Paschal is doing okay, and I promise you that we will continue working every day to figure out how to thrive despite all the things that come our way. Our students, staff, and families continue to demonstrate resilience, determination, and Panther pride, and I could not be more grateful for this community.

Thank you for your continued support of Paschal High School.

And... Go Panthers!

Sincerely,

Barbara Ozuna

¡Y… Go Panthers!

Barbara Ozuna
