A/B SCHEDULE DAYS
The Piedmont Public Schools Board of Education unanimously approved the recommendation that Piedmont Middle School and Piedmont High School students remain on the A/B alternating schedule until Christmas Break.

PLEASE NOTE: Monday, November 16th is a "A" day.
NHS Induction Ceremony Information
Join us to celebrate and acknowledge our new NHS students and their academic successes!

Who - PHS NHS inductees and their families 
When - Nov. 30th and December 3rd 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. each night.
Where - Piedmont Intermediate Cafeteria
 
COVID-19 Protocols:
  • Four guests per student
  • Masks required
  • Assigned tables for guests
  • Sanitization prior and after each session
  • Four Individual sections, MAX 30 students per session.
  • Live Streaming available for anyone who cannot attend.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR PHS SENIORS
Jostens Ordering Night (Cap/Gown, announcements and class rings) is Tuesday, November 17th!

When and Who:
6 p.m. for last names A-M
7 p.m. for last names N-Z

PHS Gym

One parent per student. Masks & social distancing required.
SENIOR PICTURE RETAKES:
Retakes are scheduled for Tuesday, November 17th, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the vocal room. Order information and proofs will be sent via mail and email after the photo proofs have been processed (approximately two weeks after the picture date)
SENIOR YEARBOOK SALUTES (Optional):
Honor your senior by purchasing a portion of a page in the yearbook. If you would like to purchase a senior salute, please visit the Josten's website, choose Yearbook Recognition Ads, and then continue through with your selections. 

After purchasing your salute, email joy.ruiz@piedmontschools.org your photos and message for the senior salute (see pricing and photo and word limits below). Title your email with your senior's name and make sure to add the word "Salute" to your message. The yearbook class will design your senior's salute page, and you will be emailed a proof to approve before it is published in the yearbook. The senior salute does not come with a yearbook. Be sure to purchase a yearbook for your senior by visiting the previous website and selecting the 2020 Yearbook from the options. Yearbooks will be available for online ordering until May 14th.

In order to get all of the spring events, sports, and graduation into the yearbook, books will not be delivered until August of 2021. Salute orders are due by December 11th.

1/8 Page: $50 includes 2 photos and 35 words
1/4 Page: $100 includes 3 photos and 50 words
1/2 Page: $150 includes 5 photos and 75 words
FULL PAGE: $200 includes 10 photos and 100 words

SENIOR SLIDESHOW PICTURES:
Each year at graduation, a slideshow showcasing each senior is played during the ceremony. Each slide has the senior's name, gown picture (provided by PHS), and up to four photos of the senior. The four pictures may include photos from when they were young, senior pictures, pictures with friends or family, or pictures of them enjoying their favorite hobby/sport. 

Please provide your four photo selections to Mrs. Ruiz at joy.ruiz@piedmontschools.org by Friday, December 11th. 

WHEN EMAILING YOUR PICTURES, PLEASE INCLUDE YOUR SENIOR'S FIRST AND LAST NAME AND THE WORD SLIDESHOW TO THE SUBJECT LINE (example: Jane Doe Slideshow). 
ATTENTION SOPHOMORE PARENTS:
Do you have a sophomore? Do they have a desire to lead? PHS will send one sophomore to the HOBY leadership camp this summer. Details and the application are available on the sophomore google classroom: Class of 2023 Code: ipmnozk. Deadline to apply is November 20th.

Our PHS leadership classes have been working hard on developing the new Wildcat Student Center, a website with our students in mind. With so many kids on different schedules and learning plans, it’s hard to keep up with all of the happenings at the high school. Now they can find all they need to know about PHS in one location!
COUNSELOR'S CORNER
The PreACT will be administered to all in-person sophomores on Tues/Wed, Nov 17-18. Please bring sharpened #2 pencils and an approved calculator (see link below). Testing will be in the gym (accommodated testing will be in rooms 307-308). Any student who is absent, virtual or quarantined will take this test at a later time to be determined. After the test, these students will participate in a virtual presentation about the programs offered at CVTech. If you have any questions, please contact your child's counselor.
