Whitevale, ON (July 31, 2017) - This week, Whitevale Golf Club played host to the Wronski Cann Group Open. This traditional, parkland golf club is nestled atop the beautiful Oak Ridges Moraine. The dynamic landscape has an undulating topography, abundant wildlife and vegetation, making this a truly wonderful golf experience. This course would require the players to be on top of their game on this immaculately maintained golf course.
The Wronski Cann Group of Richardson GMP was proud to host the event at Whitevale GC. We appreciated the strong attendance at the event and we would like to thank the following four organizations that we work with for their support: Vantage Asset Management, NewGen Asset Management, Edgehill Partners and Oakhill Financial (FG Alpha). Each of these firms employ strategies that help us manage risk to provide steady portfolio returns. Please click through their names for their websites.
Champ Flight was led by T.J. Rule, of Golf Away Tours, shooting out a round of 74 for the win. Local favourite, Ryan Taylor would finish one stroke back in second and last years champ, John Harrington, would post 76 for third.
As the Corvese domination of A Flight continues, it would be P.J. Corvese taking the cake in this weeks event, recording a nice round of 78. Murray Heywood and Steve Zimmermann would both post scores of 80 and, after card matching, Murray would secure second spot and Zimmermann settled for third.
Tour regular Bob Chapman, shot 81 which would be low enough to take home first place. This would be Bob's third round of the year outside of his Flight range which means Bob receives a Battlefield Promotion to the A Flight. Jake Naccarato, and his Motocaddy S1, were firing on all cylinders and but would come up one shot short and land him in second. Michael Alcott posted an 87 for the third spot.
C Flight was won by G.M. Milan, at his second event of the season. He would post a dandy round of 87. Paul Dermody was lurking close by and finished on second with a round of 91. Third place would be occupied by Dillon Strachan, shooting 92.
Seniors' Flight would see a familiar face on top this week with Martin Gorman edging out Glen Parsneau. Both players shot 87 and would take a five hole playoff to decide the Gross winner. Ross Scanlon would slide into first place in the net competition, shooting Net 74, followed by Tim Seabrook with a Net 77.
Women's Flight saw Sandra Stuckless with the win, posting a Net 80.
