Chanukah Time at
Headquarters Library on Orange Blossom Rd

6:30-7:30 pm

Get ready to celebrate Hanukkah by listening to stories, sing songs, creating crafts, and enjoying a kosher treat. Program provided by the Jewish Family of Greater Naples and Headquarters Library. All ages.
Registration is required.
Do you live in the Naples area?
How many children are in your family?

Do you want to be featured in the Federation Star, the monthly Jewish newspaper, here in Greater Naples and in these monthly eblasts?
This year, Hanukkah will begin in the evening on Sunday, November 28 and end in the evening on Monday, December 6.

If your child attends a secular or public school, you may be invited to teach a short lesson about Hanukkah to their class. In PJ Library’s quick guide for the “Hanukkah Parent,” you’ll find story suggestions and activity ideas for three age groups: preschool, kindergarten, and elementary school.

Go beyond latkes and jelly donuts with this list of tasty dishes from all over the world that your family can enjoy during Hanukkah this year.

PJ Library has two brand new storytelling podcasts! In the Hanukkah episode of Afternoons With Mimi (great for ages 2 to 5), Mimi tells her young grandchild a kid-friendly version of the Hanukkah story and explains some of the ways we celebrate. In Beyond the Bookcase (geared towards ages 6 to 12), our heroes take us for a tale of courage in the unbelievable land of Mashal, where Jack Be Nimble is jumping over ... a hanukkiyah!
Check out the four great books that PJ Our Way is offering for selection this November! Find out what it was like to become a kid spy in World War II. Choose a story that shows how the power of observation can save lives. Follow one family's wacky vacation from freezing Canada to tropical Florida where a team of tweens helps save the career of a Jewish comedian. And see what life was like for sisters who escaped the Nazis and were adopted by new families in a new country. Pick your next book by November 10th!
