A Message from Jeremy Schulman, Religious Practices Chair

As we enter the summer months, we hope you are finding time to relax and recharge. If you’re not travelling, why not join us for Shabbat services at the PJC? Your presence is more important than ever to help us make a minyan during the summer weekends when many people are away. Maintaining a strong and connected community is at the heart of who we are, and your participation ensures that we can continue to hold meaningful services together. Whether you are a regular or if it’s been a while since your last visit, we look forward to welcoming Shabbat with you!

Shabbat Services: Friday evenings at 6:00 pm; Saturday mornings at 9:30 am (followed by Kiddush lunch).

Questions? Please contact the PJC office (attention Jeremy Schulman) and I’ll be happy to respond.

A Message from Steve Handelman, Communications Chair

I’m delighted to step into Adam Ilkowitz’s hard-to-fill shoes as the new PJC Board member responsible for communications. The PJC’s weekly newsletter and mid-week update will continue through the summer months. I look forward to keeping you up to date, and I’m especially interested in hearing from you about how we can improve communications, including the newsletters. All suggestions welcome! Please write me at PJC Communications.

A Special Zoom Event--Jewish Agency of Israel--Talking with the Iranian Opposition

Want a different take on the news from Iran? PJC members may be interested in a special dialogue between members of the Iranian opposition and Israelis that will be broadcast in a Zoom program scheduled Wednesday July 2 (6:30pm-8:30 pm). The unique program, initiated by Hila Madar Itzkovitz, Director of the Westchester Shinshinim Program, will be led by Tom Wegner, who heads Israel's Middle East Center.

The program, described as an "inside look at the Iranian people and a shared search for hope and a different future in the region," is free, but you need to register here. The link will be provided upon registration. For more info and a copy of the flyer, please contact PJC Education Director Ana Turkienicz.
