Oct 7 Memorial Service

The PJC will be holding a a commemorative service this evening at 7:00 pm to mark the first anniversary of Oct. 7. The service will also be livestreamed on Facebook and YouTube (links at the bottom of this email and on thepjc.org).


Sukkot Dinner in the Sukkah

We are so excited to offer our Sukkot community dinner in the Sukkah on Sunday, October 20th. A meat dinner will be served at 5:30pm. While the dinner is free and open to the entire community, your RSVP is required by Oct 14th. Click here to register.

  • Spinach Kugel Muffins, Kugel Muffin, Sweet Noodle Kugel
  • Roasted Vegetable Medley, White Rice

PJC Book Group

The next PJC Book Group will be held Monday, October 28th at 8:00 pm with Rabbi Resnick joining to discuss his recent novel, Next Stop.


For readers of Leave the World Behind and Exit West, an astonishingly resonant novel that explores the precariousness of Jewish American life through one family after a black hole consumes the State of Israel and similar strange events occur in major cities around the world, ushering in a time of chaos as well as miracles.

The PJC Book Group is also pleased to announce that November and December meeting will also be joined by the authors. We appreciate your efforts to participate:

  • Jonathan Dunsky will join us to discuss his novel, In That Sleep of Death on November 17
  • Joan Leegant will discuss her book of short stories, Displaced Persons, on December 16

Family Friday Dinner

This month's Family Friday Dinner will be on November 1, 2024. Food for children will be available beginning at 5:30pm sharp as candle lighting has to happen before 5:33pm. Shabbat services begin at 6:00pm and dinner will be served immediately following services at approximately 7:00pm.

PJC Library News

The Library is open.


New books can be found on the mantle. To check out a book, write your name and the date on the card in the back of the book and leave the card in the office upstairs.


Return all borrowed books to the blue bin on the window ledge in the library. Please don't shelve returned books!

Treasurer's Message

Billing statements are emailed monthly. 


Credit card instructions are on your billing statement and on ShulCloud. Checks made out to the Pelham Jewish Center can be mailed to P.O. Box 418, Montvale, NJ 07645. 


It is the policy of the Pelham Jewish Center to make every effort to assist members experiencing financial challenges. Financial challenges should never be a barrier to being an active member of the PJC community. You can reach out to President Lisa Neubardt, Treasurer Mitchell Cepler or Rabbi Benjamin Resnick to speak confidentially concerning your ability to pay.
