THE PLAY THAT GOES WRONG

A farcical comedy about the Cornley Polytechnic Drama Society's disastrous attempt to stage a 1920s murder mystery, The Murder at Haversham Manor. The play-within-a-play features a cast of amateur actors who battle constant technical failures, forgotten lines, and physical mishaps as they try to get through the show, resulting in hilarious chaos. Jim Ballantine, Director TPTGW

Jim returned home to Kauai over a decade ago after working in animation and theater in Los Angeles and Sydney. The Little Mermaid and Ren & Stimpy are a few of his credits. He has directed several productions for KCP including Cabaret and Noises Off. He founded the non-profit Hale Puna focusing on hospitality, community programming, and stewardship in Waimea and Kōkeʻe. The Kōkeʻe Lodge and the restoration of the Gulick-Rowell house in Waimea are two of their current projects.
